Story
Boomer is a 4 year old lab mix. (We believe lab/ chihuahua mix). Boomer is healthy and very playful. He loves walks and loves to swim and fetch. Boomer is a great dog that loves his family. Unfortunately, Boomer struggles with separation anxiety when left alone. Despite many attempts to curb this behavior, medication has been the only workable solution. We are looking for a loving family that can care for Boomer and help him with his issues. He would do well with a family who is home more or may have other pets to spend his time with.

Story
Walnut was found in a field off the side of a road. According to a passerby she was dumped with 3 siblings. The other siblings were each taken in by good samaritans but Walnut was not very trusting and if approached she ran away. We went back several days for a couple of weeks bringing food for her. We were worried for her because it was getting cold. One day we took food to her & she finally let us get close enough to get a leash over her head. We took her home with the intentions of providing shelter & food until we could find her a home. She is very sweet & wants to be loved so badly. She is adjusting to leash walking. She did lick all over my grandson so i believe she is good with kids. She is still a little timid at first but is soon doing a full body wag for your attention. It broke my heart for her being out in the freezing temps. But this wasn't a permanent solution. Financially I am not able to provide a permanent home for this poor puppy. She appears to be under a year old.

Story
My family dog had a surprise litter in November. We started out with six puppies and I’ve rehomed 5 except for one I was hoping to keep, but unfortunately, due to financial circumstances, I am no longer able to give him a good quality life. I really would love to know if anyone was interested in adopting him :) he is super friendly, sweet well mannered pup! He deserves a loving home please call me at (xxx) xxx-xxxx if you can help. Thank you :)

Story
I found Bambi roaming around in SW Raleigh the day after Thanksgiving. When I approached her she immediately rolled on her back so I could rub her belly. I got her chip scanned but it was not registered to anyone. After notifying the SPCA I took her home until someone claimed her. No one has. She’s a sweet and gentle dog. She gets along well with my dogs. She’s playful, energetic, and loves eating ice. Bambi is the best cuddler I know and will always roll on her back for a good belly rub.

Story
Loki was found roaming a neighborhood as a puppy, during COVID. He was posted on social media and not claimed. We took him in from the people who found him, but he was scared of a lot. He is no longer afraid of cars, but is anxious during storms and loud noises. Loki loves to play tug and run around the yard. He does not try to dig and is not destructive. He will not chew your things or have accidents, but he will steal your socks. He does not chew them, just steals them and drops them, usually near his food. His favorite spots to lay are on the back of the couch or in a pile of soft blankets. Loki is a very loving dog and will become attached to his owner. He does still have anxiety and has snapped at people when he is startled. This usually happens when he is touched while sleeping or when he is not expecting it, for example, if there are a lot of people around and you try to pick him up from behind. He is not aggressive and does not seek out to bite people.
