I’m incredibly affectionate and love to snuggle up on your lap or next to you and give you kisses. I’m not allowed to walk around outside yet but I’m calm when you carry me in a tote for a neighborhood walk. I don’t bark or jump out, and I like to look at all the people walking by and will eventually doze off. I am a calm and sleepy girl. I like to get love from my humans and play with my sister but am also perfectly happy chewing on my toys by myself when you need to do work. I love to take a lot of naps and will fall asleep anywhere. If you leave me home alone, I may cry in my crate for a while but having my sister or some peanut butter treats helps calm me. I am mostly house trained! I always pee on my pad and poo on or next to it. If I pee right before bed, I just need one potty break in the middle of the night (4 hours in). I know how to “sit.” I’m learning “come” and “wait” and I listen better when you incentivize me with some yummy treats! I can’t wait to meet my new family!

Big trucks, honking horns, people yelling about bagels? Meh. My only concern is how to wiggle out of my sling and go explore the big, exciting world. No sidewalk is too loud, no pigeon too fast. I must investigate everything. I’m also what they call “food motivated,” which is fancy talk for “will do anything for snacks.” I already know how to sit and wait for my meals like a Very Polite Lady™. Training me will be a breeze — just don’t forget the treats, k? Potty stuff? Nailed it. I’m nearly 100% pee pad trained, and when I do need to go in the middle of the night, I’ll politely wake my foster human, do my business, then go back to sleep like the chill little angel I am (with a side of gremlin energy during the day, of course). She is a big puppy who plays throughout the day. She likes puzzle toys, playing tug of war, and throwing stuffed animals in the air. Nova is joy to be around. Meemaw is a wrinkly-faced, easy going, affectionate, and silly senior looking for her forever home. Her preferred activity is being pet any which way-- squishing her face, scratching her belly, even getting scrubbed down in the bath for a spa day. If you dare stop petting her, she will gently protest by waving her paw at you. Despite being such a ham, Meemaw is also very independent and is completely okay with being left alone to snooze. She is also perfect in her crate and always sleeps through the night (and much of the day too). Meemaw is quite stiff in her back legs and has a funny gait-- she therefore struggles with stairs and seems sensitive to walking on concrete. Walks are very short in distance and require patience to move at her slow pace. She would likely be an excellent stroller candidate, and is happy to be picked up and held if needed! Meemaw was found a stray on the city streets, and her body shows signs of having many puppies in her previous life before being rescued by Muddy Paws. She would love to continue her soft retired life in her forever home -- could that be yours?
