Story
I love my dog with all of my heart. He just is not happy in the conditions we are in right now. My job requires me to work 12 hour night shifts and I am not home for long periods of time. I also have other dogs as well as cats, he can be territorial around other male dogs and will growl but for the most part is okay. He does not do well with cats, he has accidentally killed one of our cats and maimed another by the mistake of a pet sitter while we were on vacation. I want the best for my dog, he needs someone who will be home with him often and can cater to his high energy/has a good yard for him to run in. He is such a good dog, he loves attention and will be right at your feet ready for whatever adventure you are. He should be in a home without cats/chickens small animals as he loves to chase and snap our chickens and doesn’t do well with our cats. He loves going for hikes, he howls with fire truck sirens, he loves to run around in the yard and loves being outdoors.

Story
Meet Shrek (aka Mozart)! This 4-6-month-old mixed-breed pup is full of love and cuddles. He gets along well with his foster siblings and is respectful when corrected by the bigger dog in the house. Though he was initially curious about the cats, he’s quickly learning to respect them and now mostly ignores them. Shrek does well in his crate, often going in on his own. While he may whine for about 10 minutes when crated, he settles down and sleeps through the night. If he needs to go potty during the night, he’ll let you know. His potty training is progressing well—he’ll go to the back door and whine when he needs to go out, though he’s still had a few accidents. Shrek loves to swim and enjoys walks, though he’s still working on leash training. He’s a bit timid at first but warms up quickly. He does have a habit of jumping, but we’re working on that. Though he’s doing well in his foster home, it’s unclear how he’d be with small children. This sweet boy is looking for a loving home where he can continue to learn and grow! http://www.coldnosewarmheart.org/dog-application.html @cnwhnj @coldnosewarmheartnj

Story
“My name is Leonard Skynard (Lenny) and I am guaranteed to rock your world, In a good way of course. I am a a 6 month old mix of pure perfection, that’s what my foster mom says. I weigh about 45 pounds and growing by the minute. I’m a good very good boy. I am playful but I also love a good nap. I am young so I am used to hearing, ‘no Lenny', ‘drop it Lenny’, ‘give me that Lenny’ but I’m learning. I live with 3 other dogs and I just love them. I also live with 3 other furry things that meow. I do like to chase them but I mean no harm. I am crate trained and I go right in without a peep. I am doing great with my house breaking. I am a fun guy. I would make a great family member to any family.” - Lenny Leonard Skynard was rescued in Texas along with his Mom and siblings. A good samaritan found them and reached out to us for help. The whole family was living outside in the heat and were severely dehydrated and malnourished. Poor Momma pup was trying the best she could, but they were literally just skin and bones. Lenny and his siblings each weighed just 2 - 4 pounds (at 10 weeks old) and Mom was just around 20 pounds when our Texas foster was able to pick them up. Lenny got sick and lost even more weight but he wasn’t going to give up and as you can see from the pictures above, he has fully recovered and is a happy, healthy pups these days. He is enjoying every opportunity to be pet and loved. He loves to follow his foster mom around and sleep on her lap. He is currently being fostered in PA. Additionally, please note that the breed listed for Mamacita is just our best guess based on the dog's physical features. We cannot make any guarantees about the accuracy of our guesses. PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO VOLUME, WE ARE GENERALLY UNABLE TO RESPOND TO INQUIRIES MADE USING THE 'ASK ABOUT ME' BUTTON. Please reach out to us directly using the contact information on our website: www.muddypawsrescue.org. Mamacita is a perfect land manatee that reminds everyone that it is OK to not be in a hurry. She loves being out in the world, so much so that she will bark into the air to say "hello world!" as she is walking down the sidewalk. She loves meeting everyone, including people, kids, dogs, cats, and will even walk up to pigeons to find out what they are eating. She has a hop in her step when we are heading out for walks, but will slow down tremendously when it looks like we are headed in the direction of home, and will sometimes stall by making friends with people at outdoor cafés. She is a whole different dog from when we first took her in, and is so very happy all the time. She takes daily medicine for her Cushing's and Addison's, and monthly arthritis medication, so she is thriving. It is a delicate balance between the 2 main conditions, but she takes it all in stride. Mama is still not very interested in toys or wrestling with her foster sister, but she is a pro at unstuffing a stuffy. She might be deaf, or very, very hard of hearing, but that makes life in a chaotic city pretty easy. She knows basic commands given to her visually, and always waits patiently for food and treats, even if others are getting them first. She prefers to be surrounded by people and other pets even if she's just laying down while chaos ensues.

Please reach out to us directly using the contact information on our website: www.muddypawsrescue.org. Just call me super Nova!! Hi, I'm your favorite new pocket-sized cuddle bug! Please may I sit in your lap? That is my absolute favorite!! I'm a happy, energetic girl who loves a good session of zoomies and tug, and also enjoys snoozing for hours. I have a whole lot of ears, cuddles, kisses, and love to go around. I like to play with toys in the afternoon (my bagel stuffie and Nylabone are my current favorites) and my puzzle bowl at meal time — yep, I'm a curious pup! My foster mom tells me I'm very smart — I figure out new puzzle toys in no time. I know "sit," "stay," "down," "paw," "come" and "spin"! Now I'm learning "leave it" and "through the legs" for a fun one! I also know "place" to go in my crate, and that I need to sit quietly in my crate while my meals are being prepared. I get so excited about food! Food is the best! I can be a bit cautious outside at first, since there's so much to take in on my neighborhood walks. But I've been making great progress on my dislike for bicycles, scooters, and skateboards. My foster mom says she's proud of me because I rarely react to bicycles anymore! And as long as they don't move too fast, I love meeting new people on walks!! I sleep through the night like a champ, and I don't usually mind being left alone. Sometimes I cry or bark for the first few minutes, but if you give me a Kong with some peanut butter or treats, I am happy to be distracted. I would love to find a comfy and calm forever home where I can keep working on my training and giving ALL of the cuddles!!
