Story
Hi! Meet Frankie - a small girl but with a big personality! I took in Frankie in April 2022 as a rescue. She was dumped and no one was able to keep her so I took her in. I do not know any of her history. The vet estimated she is 2-3 years old. Frankie is up to date on shots, house trained, spayed (in August 2023) , & completed a 6 week obedience training. Frankie is a sweet girl, and gives the best snuggles. She would be best fit for a home where she is the only pet & can stay within a fence or a leash when outside. She tends to be very reactive towards other animals. I have a dog and cat in the house, but she gets very stressed out with them. Frankie would thrive in a quiet environment where she is the only animals and can get lots of snuggles. She is fairly obedient, but still reactive. She loves to chew on her bone & sit on your lap! I would love to see Frankie go to a happy home where she will be most comfortable and happy!

Story
We actually rescued this dog about two and a half years ago and it wasn't a for sure deal that we were going to be able to keep him but we thought we would try rather than leave him out on the street but he needs more attention than we are able to give him with my kids schedule it's just not reasonable that he gets enough attention. Ideally he belongs on like a farm or you could run around and be like very active but a loving home would be preferable regardless.

Story
Jane is a sweet senior dog. She is 10 years old. I rescued her from a puppy mill off of Facebook when she was 6 weeks old. Jane is scared of most men at first but with time and love she will warm up to anyone that just loves her. She loves to just lounge around and follow you around to make sure you are safe. She has some separation anxiety but will NOT tear up your home. She does bark excessively. We have tried to control it with bark collars and it does not seem to help. She mainly barks when people are coming home or leaving. She loves kids of all ages and sizes. Does very well with other dogs no matter the size. She has not been around cats, so I am not sure how she will do. She is still a very active senior dog. Not crate trained. Does well on a leash but will also just follow alongside you on walks, once she’s comfortable. She does dart out the door if given the chance but will come back. Overall this sweet baby deserves the best and it hurts my heart that she can’t stay with us

Story
A 30 something man who was in between rehab stents and living with his parents decided he wanted a dog of his own. Without any warning the son brought home a 4 Month old huge, adorable, clumsy boxer mix named Kong. Kong lived in the temperature controlled garage because he was too tall and clumsy to walk through the house without breaking anything. When the Son moved out, he didn't want Kong anymore. The son's father began taking care of Kong. It was obvious Kong was abused by the son. (Son no longer allowed on the property) It didn't take long before love and friendship blossomed between dad and dog. After 5 years, he and Kong are besties. 10 days ago, Kong lost his best friend to a heart attack. His widow loves Kong but has Parkinson's. Kong needs love & patience. He's may not be terribly smart, but he loves running and playing tug and "you throw the thing, I might fetch it". He's skittish, especially with new people (esp men). He would benefit from an obedience class.

Story
Booger is a goofball who ran away from a potentially abusive situation. I took him to the shelter and just had to foster him because I fell in love. He is very affectionate and sociable and seems to be decently trained. He has a lot of energy and so I would recommend introducing him slowly to spending time alone. He does like his crate, but he’s developed a little separation anxiety. Since I work an 8-4, and I’m single, I can’t take good care of him, especially without help. Booger could do really well in a house with two parents or with someone who works from home.

Story
Rosie is 7 years old and is a sweet girl! She is anxious and jumpy, so I wouldn’t advise her in a home with small children. She enjoys walking and running outside! Does not do well in a crate, but can be left out to roam the house without an issue.
