Story
My name is Doogie! I'm 11 years old and looking for a person or people to spend my golden years with. I'm a calm boy who wants nothing more than to lie at your feet or cuddled by your side. I love every human, dog, cat, and other creature I've ever met, and I am a perfect gentleman at home or out in public. I walk nicely on a leash without pulling and would be happy to keep you company on easy to moderate hikes or on walks around the neighborhood. My one and only challenge is my separation anxiety. I need to be with a human at all times to feel safe, so it's important that my family makes sure someone can always be with me. With consistent training, I believe I could improve, but my current human's schedule is just too unpredictable for me. If you're looking for a sweet, low-maintenance companion, come meet me! I bet we'll hit it off right away!

Story
Abby is a very sweet 2 year old girl. Full of energy and loves attention! She is spayed and has a microchip. Unfortunately, after giving it our best try for the past year, she is not getting along with our other 3 dogs. I think she would be fine without so many other dogs vying for attention. Unfortunately we cannot keep her and put our other dogs or our young kids at risk. She is really a sweet girl, just needs more attention and time than we are able to provide. And also a home with fewer dogs as she doesn't like to share attention.

Story
Autumn is a rescue dog that showed up in my driveway last Fall. She was scared and her ribs were showing. My husband and I fed her daily for nearly two months outside of our home, awaiting for someone to search for her. We did not want to call animal control for fear of her being put to death. I would guess that she is nearly two years old. My husband and I would like for her to be placed in a loving and caring home with person(s) available to show her a lots of love and attention. She is not an aggressive nor protection dog, but would be a good match for someone looking for a gentle companion. She is adorable and sweet, but has a fascination with chewing on things. Toys usually keep her occupied for a little while. Her shelter arrangement is hybrid in nature. Most of her time with us has been outdoors within a large fenced yard, but we allow her inside at night or during bad weather. She has never pee nor pooped inside of our home. We care for her as you would a child. Lots of love!

Story
Ruby is a 2 year old who who we’ve been fostering for the past 2 months. She loves to wake up with kisses, belly rubs and a game of tug of war with one of her her favorite toys, are you ready to play? She’s not shy about telling you what she wants and loves to burn off her high energy by running around a fenced yard or being chased when she has a ball in her mouth. She is house trained, well behaved in a vehicle, is great on the leash and loves to go on long walks. Never known to turn down a treat we used this to teach her the basic commands. With strong consistent guidance in a pet and kid free environment she’ll truly shine in her forever home.

Story
Diesel followed us home one day when we were on a walk with our long time dog. The neighbor said that he was thrown out of a car and abandoned in front of their house. We took him to the vet, and he was not chipped, nor did he have a collar on. We put flyers out and posted on Nextdoor multiple times. We've had him for a couple of months and have trained him in most aspects. We just cant keep another dog long term, so we are looking for a good home for him. He's a sweet sweet boy, very good with commands, so he will typically stay next to you if you say his name, and a really quick learner. We believe he is probably around 7 months old at this point. He would be great for active families, because he does have a lot of energy. He loves to play fetch and hike!

Story
Our dog is an incredibly sweet and affectionate companion who adores cuddling and being close to her person. She has a strong protective instinct, which has made it challenging for us, as she becomes overly defensive when our son tries to approach us, or vice versa. Because of this, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to rehome her, as her loyalty and protective nature are better suited to a single person or elderly individual who can be her primary focus. She has a beautiful balance of energy, enjoying her time outside but also content to spend hours perched at the top of the couch, quietly watching over her surroundings. While she does bark when someone comes to the door, it’s clear she just wants to feel safe and know that someone is there to look out for her, too. We deeply wish for her to find a loving home where she can feel secure and continue to be the devoted, protective companion she is.
