Story
Daisy is a loyal, gentle spirit, and loves attention but can be protective w certain strangers entering her territory. She only needs a few warming moments to learn she is safe with newcomers before becoming everyone’s best friend. We adopted Daisy when she was a year old in 2017. She was very timid and shy. She rarely barks except when trespassers come on or near our property. I find this to be comforting, and she has been a wonderful companion for the last 7 years. In the last year she has developed lupus, and needs pills every day to keep it at bay. Unfortunately with my kids leaving the nest and extensive travel plans, I am unable to give her the care and attention she deserves. I feel very sad about this and have worked to find suitable caregivers when I am away but it has become extremely challenging. Her best option is to find a loving home with someone who can make her a more integral part of their lives - 2 or more walks a day, playtime, and lots of affection.

Story
I rescued Koda from a bad situation about 4 months ago and decided to foster him. Koda is the sweetest boy ever. Koda loves other animals. He is amazing at the dog parks, good recall, house trained, kennel trained, and very friendly once he gets to know you. He is very active, silly, cuddly, and loyal. He loves to play at the park and slide down the slides, literally!! Although he is scared of strangers and his bark is obnoxiously loud, I know Koda just wants to protect the people he loves! As much as I’ve fallin in love with fostering him I am no longer in a position to foster. Koda needs a forever home Since he is still a puppy! He needs a very experienced, owner, who can train him and take care of his high energy. Koda has never bitten anyone, but his bark can be quite frightening. Koda does not like strangers, unless they have a dog with them. However with proper introduction and patience his barking subsides and people are able to experience what a sweet boy he is.

Story
Scout is the best girl! She came from a rescue organization called Red Fern where she was pulled from a hoarding situation. Her owner did a lot of positive reinforcement training to get her to a more confident state and just learn how to be a dog. Scout is a shy girl but the sweetest towards humans and other dogs. She becomes friends with any dog she sees, big or small although small dogs are her favorite as they are not that intimidating. She is slow to warm up but with some boiled chicken, hot dog pieces and/or doggie treat she will learn to trust her new pack. Scout loves walks so much that when her owner says "Do you want to go on a walk?" she jumps of the bed or couch ready for her walkie! Scout also loves to be a couch potato and sleep. She is down for a hike, doggie park, or kick back and relax kinda weekend. She is potty trained, eats twice a day (dry kibble) and overall is a very low maintenance girly. Her owner is moving abroad and is hoping to find her perfect home.

Story
Lu has been a wonderful companion and it hurts me to let her go. But I have experienced some financial setbacks and want her to have a good stable place to live with someone who will give her all of the love she deserves. She is so sweet, people-oriented, and great with kids as long as they are not too rough with her. She is happy to go for walks but overheats quickly. She is very calm and well-behaved, and typically only barks to let you know she wants to be let in. Lu does okay with other dogs but can get overstimulated and agitated by high-energy pups, therefore she does best in a single-dog home. Lu went to the vet about 6 months ago and is in good health. She's up to date on her shots and doesn't require any medications though I give her a joint supplement treat each morning as recommended by the vet. Someone looking for a chill dog as a couch buddy would be a great fit for Lu. I will be donating the adoption fee to a local animal shelter.

Story
Re and Ra are siblings. I got them at 4 weeks old when their mom stopped nursing them. They were bottle fed for a few weeks. They are super affectionate and love to cuddle. They like to sleep under blankets. I have kids and 2 cats and they do well with both kids and cats. I did get them a week before Covid hit so they did not have a chance to socialize like they needed so they need a little extra time to get them to be social. They are house trained and kennel trained. They have to be adopted together no exceptions.

Aela is a very loving and happy dog. She loves people! She is a very high energy, athletic and smart dog. She loves to play fetch. She is really good at frisbee. She loves to swim and to hike. She enjoys puzzles. She needs lots of mental stimulation or she gets bored and clingy. She has some reactivity issues. She is an alert barker and barks when she is triggered by something she is nervous about. She has some aggression when she is overstimulated; rough play and nipping. She has a big bark, so she can sound intimidating. She has had basic training. She is treat motivated and enjoys training sessions. She responds best to strong alpha energy. She struggles with apartment living. She is crate trained. She has never had an accident in the home. She would do best in a home with a yard and room to run. She needs lots of exercise! She does well at doggy daycare and at the vet.
