Story
Veda is a really sweet dog, but has increasingly become aggressive with our dachshund and recently caused 2 emergency vet visits. These fights are triggered usually by toys and we have managed to try and maintain for the past 5 years but with a toddler here now and another kid along the way it’s becoming too great of a risk. She has high anxiety and can be very stubborn but I think has potential in a better home situation. She has never shown aggression to children but we have always insure to never put her in a situation where she can. With new people and dogs she takes time to warm up to. She’s very house trained but does struggle being left alone. Has for training, for treats, she will sit, lay and sometimes stay and is good on a leash.

Story
This is Hunter. He is a real sweety. He is 9 years old and he is also deaf. He is pretty good at reading emotions and will go where pointed to and will stop and be calm with a "stop" hand sign. We got him from a shelter a little over three years ago and he has been a good dog and friend to our first dog. He needs a yard to sniff around in and loves walks, though he is starting to slow down with age. He has had some recent issues with chewing his dog beds, a couple carpet corners, and I think it is mostly because we are unable to walk him as regularly as he needs. This guy is awesome and I think a great companion to an older adult, small family or single person with time for him (maybe a retiree) would probably be best. He has never even hinted at biting anyone, but is not naturally playful with kids and in big groups of people will likely retreat to a quiet corner. He has so much love.

Story
Leia is a 5 year old blue heeler mix that we adopted in 2019 as a puppy. Leia is an active dog with a "Velcro" personality with her people. Leia has lived with other dogs and cats her whole life and has historically done well with both. Leia does have some anxiety that was exacerbated by the birth of our toddler and soon to be birth of our second child. Since the new addition, Leia has started to act out towards the other dogs in our home and we feel she would do better in a single dog home. We are absolutely heartbroken to rehome her but feel it would be in her best interest to be in a home with no young children as she does not enjoy being around our toddler. We are not seeking an adoption fee for her because we just want to see her go to a great home for her.

Story
Scout is a very sweet, playful young dog. She is fantastic with owners and with kids. She can be initially aggressive with adult strangers and other dogs. This began during her adolescence and can likely be trained out of her. We have not invested much time or energy in training around this issue. She is fully house trained. We love her but can’t keep her. Please give her a new loving home!

Story
Desert has been apart of our family for almost 4 years. She’s a dog who loves being active - walks, hikes, runs, etc. Since we’ve had our two kids we haven’t been able to find her the attention and exercise she needs. We’re looking to rehome her to someone who has the time to devote to her. She’ll be 7 on December 14th
