Story
We rescued Lilly from a shelter at 6 months old and it's clear she was abused. When she is with us, her people, she is the sweetest goofiest puppy. She is a year and a half or so, weighs around 75 pounds (but thinks she's about a 10 LB lapdog!) She has the cutest face. But, She barks at every person and every animal. With people she barks, but will cower away if you step forward. I don't think she would ever bite a human, but you never know for sure. And I only say that because she is extremely aggressive towards animals. She has bit 1 dog, killed our own puppy, and killed two cats that wandered into our backyard. I think she thinks they are toys. I'm just trying to be honest. Her perfect new home would be with no children and no pets. Someone strong because she is strong. Someone who is home a lot too, or she'll be a bored puppy! She can be such a great love. We do love her. But her aggression towards animals is bad and we don't want a shelter to put her down. Takes allergy pills

Story
Raya is an incredibly affectionate 1.5 year old mixed-breed pup. She's potty-trained, will sleep in a crate/cage if instructed, walk on-leash, and will come immediately when called. She's very clean and smells great (no "dog" smell), no issues with anxiety, and is kid-friendly -- Raya gets along great with our two small children (2 and 5 years old), and is surprisingly gentle and patient with them. Raya also gets along well with our other dog, and will happily share food and toys. That said, Raya can be wary of unfamiliar people and dogs, and will often bark when meeting someone new. (It usually takes 10-15 minutes for her to warm up to strangers.) We rescued Raya 9 months ago from a local shelter after she was abandoned, struck by a car, and in immediate need of an operation on her rear legs/hips. We paid for her operation, got her up-to-date with all her shots, and had her spayed. I'm glad to report the operation was a success, Raya is fully recovered!

Story
Buddy is a very friendly 8 year old Mutt who I rescued at age 3. He is loyal and full of energy but only in short spurts. He mostly loves to lay on his chair and sleep / cuddle with you. He does need a place with a yard as he spends most of his time sunbathing / outside. He would prefer someone who can spend a lot of time with him, I believe he could have been a therapy dog. He only likes being in a crate at night sleeping or for short periods of time during the day. He gets on well with everyone and never barks. He does communicate by crying when on walks or initially when around other dogs, but with the right training I'm sure that could change. Buddy is very smart and listens to commands. He's around 30lbs and strong, but is starting to slow down as he gets a little older. I'm moving back to the UK and I'm unable to take him with me unfortunately. I'm willing to wait until I find the perfect home for him- that's why Ive had him this long, but I know his forever home is out there.

Story
Hazel and Olive came into a Los Angeles Shelter together, terrified and covered in fleas and ticks. They were scheduled to be euthanized together but my husband and I were able to take them in as fosters, and we are hoping to help find them a forever home together! Hazel - Vet Estimate 1 yr old - 52 lbs possible Ridgeback/lab mix - spayed, vaccinated and microchipped Hazel loves to relax on a comfy bed, she loves to snuggle and responds so well to treats. This laid back girl loves to play with her sister. Olive - Vest Estimate 1 year old - 43 lbs - possible Ridgeback/lab mix - scheduled to be spayed at the end of October, she is already vaccinated and microchipped though Olive loves to play! She definitely still has some left over puppy energy, her favorite thing to do is to bug her sister and tempt Hazel into chasing her through the yard. She is all sweetness and sunshine, and also responds well to treats. Both girls play well with our three dogs

Story
We have had Ace since he was a puppy, I can tell you way more than I have space for here! We have unfortunately exhausted all options with keeping him in our home, we would love for him to go to someone that will keep us updated. He has been in fights with our male dog, he does fine with our females. He does have anxiety (very high strung) (doesn't like loud or sudden movements), he gets hot spots from licking. He is very reactive to cats. He does ok with our infant, however, was terrified of toddlers he's been around. He would be such a perfect dog as the only dog. He loves cuddles and pets, running/hiking, and playing with toys (tug a war). He does counter surf but is potty trained and kennel trained. He is also collar trained - he will come with the collar, kennel, food, everything he could need. He will take a bit to adjust to a new home but we hope to find someone with the patience for him as he can be an amazing dog.

Story
Meet Max! He is looking for his new family to love him, play with him, and make sure he’s eating good food! He is a good boy who is very friendly with his family. He can be a little timid when he meets new people, but after you’ve introduced them and he knows they’re safe, he loves them! Max originally came from China as a rescue from the meat festival. He is 5 years old and he’s been in his current home since he was 4 months old. Sadly, we are moving to a new place that doesn’t allow dogs. He has lived with cats his whole life. He is not overly excited to hang out with cats, but he gets along with them just fine. He is not super affectionate- meaning he is not a lap dog. He does like to sit next to you, but he doesn’t like to cuddle. He doesn’t get mad, he just gets up. He likes to sleep in bed with his owner. He loves walks, watching squirrels, and going on walks. He’s potty trained and would like a back yard. He’s never bitten anyone. He’s a sweet, good boy!

Story
June is a loving, playful and sweet 7 month old lab mix puppy looking for her forever home. She is high energy, loves people and especially loves other dogs. June was found as a stray and then adopted by us at 6 months old. She is a charming and lovable girl. Sadly, we didn't fully realize the time and financial commitment that a new puppy would be and won't be able to keep her long term but will be holding onto her until we find the right home. She is currently enrolled in Petco training classes and has learned basic obedience. She is mostly house trained with only an occasional accident. She is generally well behaved, is easily redirected to good behaviors. We are looking for a home that can give her plenty of healthy outlets for her energy (her current routine is 2 dog park visits/day), positive reinforcement training, and lots of patience and love. She would do very well with other puppies, she plays nicely and has great social skills. She would probably also be fine with a cat.
