Story
Meet Max! He is looking for his new family to love him, play with him, and make sure he’s eating good food! He is a good boy who is very friendly with his family. He can be a little timid when he meets new people, but after you’ve introduced them and he knows they’re safe, he loves them! Max originally came from China as a rescue from the meat festival. He is 5 years old and he’s been in his current home since he was 4 months old. Sadly, we are moving to a new place that doesn’t allow dogs. He has lived with cats his whole life. He is not overly excited to hang out with cats, but he gets along with them just fine. He is not super affectionate- meaning he is not a lap dog. He does like to sit next to you, but he doesn’t like to cuddle. He doesn’t get mad, he just gets up. He likes to sleep in bed with his owner. He loves walks, watching squirrels, and going on walks. He’s potty trained and would like a back yard. He’s never bitten anyone. He’s a sweet, good boy!

Story
Meet Melony, a sweet and snuggly 2-year-old pup who’s ready to find her forever home! Recently spayed (on October 9th) and fully vaccinated, she was diverted from a trip to LA shelter after her owner could no longer care for her, and now she’s looking for a loving family. Melony is a belly-rub enthusiast and fetch superstar who thrives on one-on-one time. While she would be happiest as the only dog in the household, she does get along with calm dogs and could adjust to living with one or two canine companions given time and patience. Having spent most of her life away from the city, Melony is still getting used to urban noises like trucks and motorcycles, but making great progress in building her confidence on walks. This gentle girl would be in heaven with a big enclosed yard where she can safely run, ideally in a quieter area away from busy roads. To help build up her skills she is enrolled in boarding training program from Nov 11th-16th, after which she will be ready for adoption.

Story
Keeper has been with me since he was 4 months old. He is now 12. his birthday is Nov 10. he was given by a family friend. he has always had a calm behavior, a lap dog. very protective of his human especially my 3 years old daughter. he is house trained. would stay in the couch any chance he gets. Due to my partner's indefinite confinement in a treatment center due to mental health challenges, I will have to find another home for Keeper and our other dog Zoie. Financially it's not feasible for me to afford their care. I am with a 3-year-old daughter finding a place to live and will have to do it with my single income since I am separating also from my partner. If I could i would but it would be so unfair to keep them when I can't give them the care they deserve.

Story
Hi, my name is Stoney. I am roughly 1 year old. I was found by my foster parents at a nearby park. I had no collar and not microchipped. I was very thin when found and am slowly gaining weight again! I am house-trained. I have a roommate and we get along but not sure howd I do if I had new roommate. I prefer to rest while at home and chase after a ball while out of the house. I am not leash-trained just yet but with the right parents who have time and patience, I'll learn! I love to snuggle with my foster parents and I like to be silly with my roommate. I'm not a fan of other dogs while on leash, I feel threatened. Once I'm off-leash in a gated area, I don't care about other dogs. I just want to play with my ball and do not like sharing. I prefer being outdoors so my forever home would need some space for me to spend outdoors. I need a forever home that is patient with me because I understand basic commands but was lost/abandoned at a young age that I still have lots to learn.
