You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi there! My name is Bruno Mars, much more handsome than my namesake, if I do say so myself. My one blue eye gives me a unique look. I'm a pretty active guy and would love to have a fenced yard or a very active family who will take me on adventures. I'd make an excellent hiking buddy. I seem to get along with most dogs and would love a meet and greet with any dogs in your home. About cats- thats an entirely different story- they are made for one thing...chasing!! So no cats for me! Older children and teens would be best for me. I have been neuterd, completely vaccinated, combo tested (I did test positive for Lyme Disease and have had my 30-day doxycycline treatment),  and my preventives are up to date. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Meatloaf: A True Gentleman with a Heart of Gold Introducing Meatloaf, a handsome 7-year-old Mountain Cur and Labrador Retriever mix with a striking brindle and white coat. Weighing 62 pounds, Meatloaf is a picture of both elegance and charm, and his affectionate nature makes him truly irresistible. While he may initially be cautious in new settings or with unfamiliar faces, it doesn’t take long for Meatloaf’s warm and loving personality to shine through. He’s a polite and slightly active companion who adores hugs and kisses, eagerly showing his gentle side to those he trusts. Meatloaf is a social gem with people of all ages—he gets along wonderfully with both children and adults. Though his compatibility with cats is unknown, he walks calmly through the shelter's cat area without issues. Meatloaf does prefer his personal space around other dogs and is happiest as the only pet in his home. While he sometimes feels uncomfortable around dogs in public settings, his confidence grows when he senses strong leadership from his human, allowing him to relax and enjoy the outing. A home with a high, secure fence would be ideal for this clever "Houdini," as his Mountain Cur instincts make him a bit of an escape artist. Meatloaf isn’t fond of confinement and thrives with room to roam and explore safely. Life in the shelter has been hard on Meatloaf, and he’s recently shown signs of withdrawal and sadness, losing interest in playtime and interaction. However, when he hops into a car, his true nature comes alive—he’s a calm and content passenger, happily gazing out the window as he rides. Smart, eager to please, and well-mannered, Meatloaf knows several commands and walks beautifully on a loose leash when away from the shelter. He’s ready to bring his intelligence, loyalty, and boundless love to a family that will cherish him as much as he deserves. Please note that Meatloaf has tested positive for Lyme disease, though he has shown no symptoms and has been vaccinated. Meatloaf is ready to leave his shelter days behind and start a new chapter with a loving family. If you’re looking for a devoted, affectionate companion who’s full of heart, Meatloaf is waiting to meet you. Could you be the one to give him the forever home he’s been dreaming of?
