Story
Dude is a 42lb, 1.5 year old male, mt cur mix (maybe with boxer or pittie). We pulled this sweet, energetic boy from our local overcrowded shelter where he has been overlooked for far too long. Due to his energy, Dude is currently enrolled in our "cell dog" training program to learn and perfect some basic commands like house breaking, crate training, leash walking & general obedience.Dude does well with other dogs and is a real sweetheart. This is one happy boy.Cats are unknown.Dude is a young dog that has a good bit of energy, so even though he would likely do well with any child, it is likely best that he be in a home with older kids who can appreciate his energy and activity.Dude's adoption fee is $300.00 which includes his neuter, vaccines including DHLPPC vaccines, Lyme vaccines Kennel Cough vaccine, Rabies vaccine, Lyme/Heartworm testing (negative), Microchip with lifetime registration and cell dog training. If you want to meet Dude with hopes to make him part of your family, be sure to FIRST apply on our website for approval: https://www.theroadhomeanimalproject.org/companion-adoption-form-pdf.html***100% of adoption fees go back to the animals and help provide for medical care for our rescues that need specialized medical care and surgeries.*Note: Ideally, ALL members of the family (canine and human alike) should be present for any meet and greet unless otherwise specified/discussed.Please remember that we are a board of entirely volunteers that have full time jobs as well as our rescue passion. So, be patient with us and check out our Facebook page for more information and photo updates: facebook.com/trhap2014You can visit our website at theroadhomeanimalproject.org

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Carlos: Your Loyal Adventure Buddy! Hello there, future best friend! My name is Carlos, and I'm the playful, affectionate, and adventure-ready pup you've been waiting for! I’m a handsome brindle Mountain Cur mix, full of charm, energy, and curiosity about the world around me. I may have been bred to chase small game, which means I’d prefer a cat-free household, but I make up for it with a huge heart and boundless love to give. Snuggling with humans? That’s something I can’t wait to try, along with exploring the outdoors by your side. My journey hasn’t always been easy, but I’m still the same resilient, good-natured boy, and I’m eager to share a life filled with joy and loyalty. I’m a quick learner who’s excited to continue learning with a patient, loving family. Picture me by the fence, gazing out with hope that my angel will soon come to whisk me away to a forever home. I’m neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, Lyme negative and all set for a healthy life with you. So if you're ready for a friend who will add excitement, loyalty, and plenty of love to your days, come meet me – I’m Carlos, waiting for my next great adventure... with you! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Meatloaf, a stunning Mountain Cur & Labrador Retriever mix, showcasing a striking brindle and white coat. This handsome boy, at six years old and weighing in at 62 pounds, is not only a sight to behold but a charming and affectionate companion. Having experienced some challenges recently, Meatloaf is a bit cautious in new environments and with unfamiliar faces. However, it doesn't take long for his loving nature to emerge, revealing a slightly active bundle of joy with a polite demeanor. When approached, he graciously asks for hugs and kisses, showcasing his gentle and loving side. Meatloaf's social skills shine when it comes to interacting with children and adults, making him a wonderful addition to families. While his compatibility with cats is unknown, he tends to prefer his own space around other dogs and appreciates being left alone at the shelter. So he would be better to be the only pet in the home.  His escape talents hint at a distaste for confinement, so an ideal home for this Houdini enthusiast would include a high-fenced yard. In a short time Meatloaf  mastered the 'sit' and 'paw' commands, demonstrating his high intelligence and eagerness to learn. Teaching him new tricks and commands promises to be a delightful and rewarding experience for both Meatloaf and his future family. Meatloaf is ready to embark on his new journey with a loving family. Meatloaf is not just a dog; he's a loving companion ready to bring joy and happiness to a forever home. Don't miss the opportunity to welcome this wonderful furry friend into your life! Meatloaf is Lyme positive, but has received 30 days of Doxycycline & Lyme vaccine. He's up to date on all vaccines & ready to go!  Website:   https://cpas.rescuegroups.org Phone: (740) 934-2693 Email:     cpas43793@hotmail.com Facebook:     Crossed Paws Animal Shelter Adoption Form:     https://cpas.rescuegroups.org/forms Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 7, 2024, 4:38 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi there! My name is Bruno Mars, much more handsome than my namesake, if I do say so myself. My one blue eye  gives me a unique look. I'm a pretty active guy and would love to have a fenced yard or a very active family who will take me on adventures. I'd make an excelllent hiking buddy. I seem to get along with most dogs, and would love a meet and greet with any dogs in your home. About cats- thats an entirely different story- they are made for one thing...chasing!! So no cats for me! Older children and teens would be best for me. I have been neuterd, completely vaccinated, combo tested (I did test positive for Lyme Disease and have had my 30-day doxycycline treatment),  and my preventives are up to date. If I sound like your kind of guy, please visit olivebranchwv.org to fill out the adoption applicaiton.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 1:53 pm

Story
Introducing three of the Pound Puppies: Jax, Maggie, and Paige! These 5 month old Curr mixes (with maybe a little Rhodesian Ridgeback?) along with mom Sadie and sisters Ava & Skye found themselves at an overcrowded pound with no open kennels.. which was just no place for such cutie patooties! Their future was looking ominous until some awesome people put their heads together and got these pups on their freedom ride to the Steel City! Jax, Maggie, and Paige are thriving in their foster home; they love playing with their toys and would give Joey Chestnut a run for his money during an eating contest. Mom is only 30ish pounds, but their size tells us that Dad might have been a bigger guy.. they are expected to be medium/large when fully grown. They’ve been let down by people in the past, so it might take them some time to get used to new places and faces, but once they do, they are the most loving and affectionate pups who will unapologetically drown you in kisses! Interested in adding one of these love bugs to your family?! Please send a completed application to Ashleym.bthar@gmail.com. Applications can be found online at bridgetohome84.org.
