Razzle Taz has the most beautiful coal black eyes that pierce  your soul as he stares at you begging for some love and attention.  This boy was taken from an abusive family who were bragging to co-workers about kicking and tying him up.  The co-worker contacted Critter Cavalry and we found a wonderful foster family that is spending time getting to know Razzle Taz and what his emotional and physical needs will be in life.  This boy is 6 months old and weighs 32 pounds.  He is slim and  sleek and has the energy of 3 puppies.   This boy is so smart and curious and he needs mentally fun challenges daily and some real walking and exercise time in a fenced backyard or on the road running with an active person.  This boy is very smart and would benefit from games, flyball, agility classes, just thinking activities paired with exercise.  He is friendly with everyone and good with cats, dogs, children and ready to take on learning all he can about the world.   If your are interested in this Mountain Cur mix pup please write to us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 5, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
Ollie is estimated to be about 8 months old (9-24). We sure think he looks like a Mountain Cur. This breed is considered rare but are quite common in South. His foster reports that is much calmer and more gentle than expected. He is great puppy manners! The Mountain Curs are well-loved family dogs who thrive in the right environment, getting along great with kids and other dogs. Their high energy levels make them best suited for an active family where ample exercise and mental stimulation will be provided. Mountain Curs are known for their intelligence, tenacity, and high energy levels. Thanks to their history of working side-by-side with pioneers, they have a strong work ethic and thrive when given a job to do.Their short, dense coat requires minimal grooming, making them a relatively low-maintenance breed. However, their high energy levels mean they need regular exercise and mental stimulation to keep them happy and healthy. Mountain Cur dogs do best in a home with an active, outdoorsy family who spends their weekends hiking, hunting, or just hanging out in their fenced-in yard. This dog is sheltered in a foster based, nonprofit rescue. The Adoption Fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea, Tick and Heartworm Treatment and Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. Story
This girl was found as a stray and her owners refused to come pick her up so she is in search of another home. She is a sweet lady, a bit shy, but friendly. She is out of any puppy energy phase but does still like to play and she does get the zoomies. She was house-trained so would need to relearn it. She does well in a car and is okay on a leash. She does not get along with smaller dogs and probably not a fan of cats. She will need time to warm up to a person but is just a sweetheart when she knows you! She would be wonderful as a walking companion and lounge buddy. She is in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.

Story
Introducing, Jagger! Are you looking for a lovable goof that wants to be your best friend? Jagger is 2 years old and 60 lbs., he's a good looking pup. He is a lovable goof with a bit of beefcake mixed in. He absolutely loves other dogs. He would do great as a solo dog or in a home with a buddy (or three!). He's working on cats, as he thinks they're small dogs and doesn't understand they don't want to play. Jagger is a simple man; he doesn't ask for much. He is pretty easy to keep happy: food, a comfy bed, and chew toys. This guy has yet to meet a belly rub provider he didn't like or an open door on the back of a car he didn't want to hop into. He and the other dogs in his foster home enjoy daily games of chase and wrestle in the backyard. Walks? He's down. He loves to go for walks and is a good boy on the leash. Though he is young and can have some zoomies to burn, he has an off button. He's also wonderful in his crate and if you decide to sleep in, he's happy to catch the extra Zzzs as well. If you are looking for an energetic boy to bring some life to your party, this is your guy. Interested in meeting Jagger? Apply at www.novapetsalive.org/adopt. *Jagger is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, was given dewormer and monthly preventatives, is negative for tick borne diseases and heartworm, and is microchipped.

Story
Mistletoe (also called Brownie) would love to find a home where she can be queen of the castle. She loves to cuddle with her people. She is great on the leash and enjoys long walks, but a fenced yard would be awesome! Her previous foster shared that she 'loves her 'Chuck it' ball and elk antlers, likes car rides and chasing squirrels. With the Cur in her, she does enjoy using her nose. We've introduced her to 'nose work' and tracking but have not been able to spend a lot of time practicing. Brownie's love language is absolutely touch, she is perfectly content cuddling all day long. She does like to be lazy and sleeps about 13 hours through the night with some naps during the day but she does love to be outside burning her energy off as well as basking in the sun.' Let us know if you would like to meet Mistletoe! Thank you for your interest in Mistletoe! Please visit www.hart90.org/petdetail.aspx?ID=16894 to get the most up-to-date and accurate information on this pet, to email the contact person listed for more information and how to meet Mistletoe, or to submit an online application.
