ALL PETS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE DALLAS/FT WORTH METROPLEX MEET AND GREET APPOINTMENTS SET UP WITH PRE-APPROVED APPLICATION ONLY Puppy Policies: We do not adopt puppies under 6 months of age into apartment homes or homes without a fenced yard. All children in the home must be at least 5 years of age. We appreciate your understanding of these policies. Cheyenne is one sweet girl who loves attention! Chin scratches are at the top of her “favorites” list as you can see. She arrived from the Laredo shelter where she shared a kennel with Hammy who also joined RT4P. So far we know she likes other dogs and kids! She is potty trained and has already conquered the doggie door. She does really well in her crate too … she is only 8 months old after all so we think she is doing great Like all puppies, Cheyenne needs an adopter who is willing to train and work with her to help her be the best dog she can be. If you would like to meet Cheyenne, the first step in the process is to complete an application. Please go to roadtrip4paws.com and click on the Adopt tab to find a link to our online application. Story
I’m Onyx! My foster mom rescued me from Dallas Animal Services, where I was very sick and my “time was up”. My foster mom took me to the doctor, who was so nice and said I was such a good boy. I am so happy to be getting out of that scary shelter and having a comfy bed, yummy food, and lots of love. I never even once messed up in the house. She has a doggy door, and I can go in and out whenever I want. Since I was very sick when she brought me home, I didn’t feel much like playing, so she had no idea how much energy I had! She sometimes calls me Wiggles or Velcro since I LOVE being anywhere with her! I also love playing with other dogs. I got to go to doggy boot camp, where I learned to walk on a leash, sit, and come when called. That was easy because I love being with nice people. The guy at the boot camp says I am very smart and learn fast! I hope that my furever home has a buddy and yard for me to play with and/or a human that loves to exercise and take me with! I'm a good boy.

Story
We adopted Biscuit as a puppy from a shelter during a work event a little under 3 years ago. Back then, our job situation was different--my wife and I both worked from home and had much more time to devote to Biscuit. Today, we have both new roles which require us to return to office full time and travel 2-3 weeks out of the month. We are unable to provide Biscuit with enough time, attention and exercise that she needs. Additionally, the latest development (and catalyst to pursuing rehoming) is that we found out our son is allergic to her and has caused health issues. Biscuit is very sweet and loves humans. She generally does well with older dogs but not puppies. She is not aggressive with children. However, she is still learning her size and often does not realize how strong she is, and can be a little clumsy and can inadvertently bump into them. She would do very well with a family who is able to provide her the time, attention and exercise she needs.

Story
Meet Garlic Cheddar Biscuit, or Biscuit for short â&#194&#128&#194&#147 the silliest and most playful 2-year-old Mountain Cur pup you'll ever lay eyes on! This goofy girl is equal parts affectionate snuggle bug and energetic explorer. With her floppy ears, sparkling eyes, and adorable clumsiness, Biscuit is sure to steal your heart from the moment you meet her. She's up-to-date on all her vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped, so she's ready for her forever home! Biscuit is always ready for her next adventure, whether that's a romp at the dog park or a cozy cuddle session on the couch. While she loves to play, Biscuit is also professionally trained and takes direction well. She gets along great with older, calmer dogs, but she's been known to put a puppy in its place. Biscuit is still learning her size and strength, so while she is good with young children, she would do best with older kids who can match her high energy levels. An ideal home for Biscuit would have an active family and a large securely fenced yard for her to explore and burn off that young dog energy. This smart cookie is already crate-trained, leash-trained, and housetrained, making the transition to her new home a breeze. As mentioned, she has been professionally trained and knows commands like sit, stay, come, heel, etc., and is always eager to learn new tricks. Biscuit is an affectionate pup who loves to cuddle up with her people at any time of day. She would thrive in a home with owners who can provide her with plenty of exercise, socialization, and lots of quality time. With her silly antics, loving nature, and unwavering loyalty, Biscuit III is the complete package! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Biscuit III, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
Hello world. Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153m Onyx! My foster mom rescued me from Dallas Animal Services, where I was getting very sick, and they told her my â&#194&#128&#194&#156time was upâ&#194&#128&#194&#157, whatever that means. (She says that all humans would know.) My foster mom took me to the doctor so that I could get better. It wasnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t scary at all. The doctor was so nice and said I was such a good boy. I started feeling so much better, and every day, I showed her how much I appreciated getting out of that scary shelter and having a warm and comfy bed, really good food, a yard to play in, and lots of love. I never even once messed up in the house. I figured out really fast that she has this cool door where I can go in and out whenever I want. She named me Onyx because she grew up in Mexico City and says that the colors of my coat remind her of the onyx chess set she used to have. Since I was very sick when she brought me home, I didnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t feel much like playing, so she had no idea how much energy I have when I feel good! She says she wishes she could bottle my energy, sell it, and then she could make a million dollars and help so many more of my friends at the shelter! She thinks maybe she should have named me Mr. Wiggles or Velcro since I LOVE being anywhere with her! I also love playing with other dogs. There are other dogs here, but they are very old and donâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t like to play much; they mostly sleep all day, which is a bummer. I got to go to a doggy boot camp where I learned to walk on a leash, sit, and come when called. That was so easy because I love being with nice people. They put this collar on me that gives me a little beep to get my attention in case I get distracted and to stop me from doing anything they donâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t like. (I get very excited to see humans and like to jump up for joy, but the guy at the camp says thatâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s a no-no.) I got to play with other dogs there. They had this huge yard in the country where I could run and run and run. The guy at the boot camp says something about me having the â&#194&#128&#194&#156zoomiesâ&#194&#128&#194&#157. He said I am very smart and learn fast. I go into my comfy crate, which Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153m used to doing. Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153m super affectionate and love my cuddles and belly rubs. My foster mom takes me to the park by her house where I get to adventure and explore; itâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s so much fun!! I get to see other dogs and want to play so badly, but I have to be on a leash, so I canâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t. When other dogs arenâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t around, she lets me run around with my special collar, and all she has to do is give me a little beep, and Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153m right back by her side. Pretty cool. I love it here, but my foster mom has told me that her goal was to save me, get me well, and learn some manners to find me my furever home so she can do it again for another shelter friend. I understand and hope that my furever home has a buddy and yard for me to play with and/or a human that loves to exercise a lot and take me with! My foster mom says I have a lot of energy and curiosity and puts me in her special dog room where I can go outside on my own or get in my crate. I get bored when no one is around to be with, and I can get into things that Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153m not supposed to. Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153m not sure why; Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153m just trying to entertain myself! Although Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153m sad to have to leave my foster mom, I hope that telling you a little about myself will help me find my furever home with you. Woof, woof!
