Story
Introducing Jody, a 5-year-old male boxer mix with a unique charm. Jody was found wandering the fields of our shelter one morning and is now seeking a forever home without other animals and preferably without young children. He can be very friendly, but he requires a patient, dedicated and experienced adopter who can understand his needs and provide him with the love and guidance he deserves. Jody would love an active lifestyle. He likes to play with toys and does well walking on a leash. Are you ready to offer Jody the stability and care he longs for? Your commitment could make all the difference in his world!

Story
Heartworm Preventative: 19th of every month Flea and Tick : 19th of every month Toby is active and needs lots of exercise. He's good with other dogs at doggie day care. He goes 1 day a week and can be bossy, especially with females. Toby listens when corrected. He has been to dog obedience classes. Toby sleeps in dog crate. He is prone to eating things, so he needs to be protected from that. He previously had surgery once from eating dog bedding, so he does not get a dog bed. Toby likes soft music playing when left alone. If you have an active, outdoor oriented home with lots of opportunity for exercise, and want a smart, fun-loving dog, then come and meet Toby! Story
adoption donation : $699 weight 40 lbs  Age 2 years       Sweet Stubby was found wandering alone in a rural part of Mississippi, and taken in by an elderly man who fell in love with this gentle boy but couldn’t keep him. He called Wags for help and the rescue took him in, The man’s grandson named him Stubby for his little short legs!     Stubby is a sweet boy, he is gentle and gets along fine with all the dogs at the rescue. He was recently neutered and has all his vaccinations and is ready for a loving home. Stubby absolutely loves to be with his people, he follows the director of the rescue all over the property, his little tail wagging. He is gentle with children and just a great family dog. Stubby is house trained at Wags but like any rescue may need a refresher while he adjusted to a new home.   Stubby is ready to come to the northeast on Saturday, March 8. He will make a wonderful member of the family.       Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs.  Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter at one of the clinics we use. Story
adoption donation : $699 weight 34 lbs Age 5 months as of 3/24           Sweet  Gretel and her three sisters, Eva, Schatzi and Freya, were left in the driveway at the Wags rescue in Mississippi, an all too common occurrence. At first we consider them shepherd mixes, but in a dog scanning app, they appear to be more Catahoula leopard dogs with plott hound—definitely mixes of several medium size breeds.     The puppies have been having a grand time playing together and snuggling in a puppy pile to nap. They have all been spayed and given their vaccines and are ready for loving homes. All of the girls are around 35 pounds, they were born in late October. They are friendly and loving and will make great family dogs.    Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs.  Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue.   adoption donation : $599 weight  45 lbs  Age 9 months as of 3/15          Wyatt is a sweet and friendly boy who is great with other dogs and loves everyone he meets. He was found all alone in a pasture in a rural part of Mississippi in an area known for dumping dogs. When the Wags director spotted him and called out, Wyatt came running over tail wagging.      At the rescue, Wyatt had a grand time romping with all the dogs and snuggling up together for puppy power naps. Wyatt recently arrived at his foster home in the northeast and settled in quickly. He is a very mellow and chill boy! He adores his foster parents, loves toys and is housebroken and walks well on a leash. He won’t run off if he is off leash, he just loves to be with his people. He is a favorite at the local dog park, Wyatt just gets along with everybody!     Wyatt is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccines.
