Story
Mavis is a one-and-a-half-year-old mountain cur/schnauzer/hound mix weighing 40#. She is sweet and friendly and great with other dogs. We think she would do best in a home with a fenced yard and another dog....but no cats!! She loves to run and play, loves adventures, and then loves a good snuggle! She is house-trained, crate-trained, and walks well on a leash! This sweet girl is ready to find her forever home!! Applications are online at pawsacrosspittsburgh.com ##2048025##

Story
Introducing three of the Pound Puppies: Jax, Maggie, and Paige! These 5 month old Curr mixes (with maybe a little Rhodesian Ridgeback?) along with mom Sadie and sisters Ava & Skye found themselves at an overcrowded pound with no open kennels.. which was just no place for such cutie patooties! Their future was looking ominous until some awesome people put their heads together and got these pups on their freedom ride to the Steel City! Jax, Maggie, and Paige are thriving in their foster home; they love playing with their toys and would give Joey Chestnut a run for his money during an eating contest. Mom is only 30ish pounds, but their size tells us that Dad might have been a bigger guy.. they are expected to be medium/large when fully grown. They’ve been let down by people in the past, so it might take them some time to get used to new places and faces, but once they do, they are the most loving and affectionate pups who will unapologetically drown you in kisses! Interested in adding one of these love bugs to your family?! Please send a completed application to Ashleym.bthar@gmail.com. Applications can be found online at bridgetohome84.org. Story
Introducing Jody, a 5-year-old male boxer mix with a unique charm. Jody was found wandering the fields of our shelter one morning and is now seeking a forever home without other animals and preferably without young children. He can be very friendly, but he requires a patient, dedicated and experienced adopter who can understand his needs and provide him with the love and guidance he deserves. Jody would love an active lifestyle. He likes to play with toys and does well walking on a leash. Are you ready to offer Jody the stability and care he longs for? Your commitment could make all the difference in his world!

Story
Heartworm Preventative: 19th of every month Flea and Tick : 19th of every month Toby is active and needs lots of exercise. He's good with other dogs at doggie day care. He goes 1 day a week and can be bossy, especially with females. Toby listens when corrected. He has been to dog obedience classes. Toby sleeps in dog crate. He is prone to eating things, so he needs to be protected from that. He previously had surgery once from eating dog bedding, so he does not get a dog bed. Toby likes soft music playing when left alone. If you have an active, outdoor oriented home with lots of opportunity for exercise, and want a smart, fun-loving dog, then come and meet Toby!     adoption donation : $650 weight 40 lbs  Age: 4 years              Maddie is the sweetest! She is a loving friendly girl who gets along with everyone she meets. Maddie has been with the same family in Mississippi for her whole life, sadly her mom was recently hospitalized and so she was taking in by relatives who can’t keep her. Wags stepped  in to help, promising the family that they will find a wonderful home for this good girl.      Maddie  loves kids, she grew up with them. She has no aggression whatsoever, her tail never stops wagging. She plays wonderfully with other dogs, she’s a little afraid of cats! Maddie is up-to-date on her vaccines and has been spayed, she is ready for a loving family of her own. will make a wonderful member of the family.     Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs.  Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter at one of the clinics we use.
