Story
This beautiful boy is Checkers! He's just under a year old and almost fully grown at 35 pounds. He's a Mountain Cur mix and has really beautiful coloring which sort of looks Beagle-like but we think he likely has some Hound instead. He a great medium sized pup and loves meeting everyone and other dogs too. He's a lover and a quiet guy too. He loves going for car rides and walks great on a leash. If you're looking for a great dog who has a very cool look - Checkers is your guy! Reach out to Long Road Home Rescue (lrhrescue@gmail.com or call 516-459-3509) to get more info. We'll be getting more photos of him soon too.

Looking Glass Animal Rescue is a 501c3 virtual rescue, using a network of dedicated fosters throughout Louisiana and the Northeast to care for our animals until adoption.  You may be required to travel if approved for adoption.    Looking Glass Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) virtual rescue, using a network of dedicated fosters throughout the Northeast and in Louisiana to care for our animals until adoption.  You may be required to travel if approved for adoption.   Meet Gray - Gray is one of 9 pups who came to us from a situation where their family became overwhelmed and could no longer care for them.  Gray, his mom, and all his siblings joined our pack and are now in search of their own forever homes.  According to his foster mom, Gray has  been the easiest guy to please. He loves treats and toys, but ATTENTION above all. If you’re looking for a Velcro dog with a heart of gold, we’ve found your fella. He’s shy at first. He’ll take a minute to warm up to you, but once he’s comfortable your patience will have earned you a little shadow. He wants to be where you are, always.  He’s expressive; every thought he has ever had has been right there on his face. You can SEE him working through new challenges in his training, new experiences out in the world on a leash like an open, fuzzy book. Gray is playful!  He loves rope toys and a good game of tug-o-war!  He's good with other dogs - loves to run and chase.  He's active and busy and looking for a family to share that with.   Gray and his siblings have blossomed since first rescued.  The foster moms working with this crew have been dedicated and determined offering proper care, nutrition, structure, and basic training, and their dedication has paid off.  In fact, Gray has just completed a training program with one of our partners in Louisiana and did great.  Gray is a really good boy and he's learning the ways of life in a happy family environment.   As with all new pets Gray will need time to adjust to his  new family and new s urroundings.   He will also need someone interested in and able to continue his basic training in order to make him the best dog he can be.  Looking for a best friend, hiking buddy, walking buddy, who's energetic and playful - here's your guy!     Applications can be submitted through https://lgarinc.org/adoption-application/.  Please note that you must be 25 years of age to adopt, and we reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone.  All applications are subject to review and approval and a tax-deductible adoption donation is required to be paid prior to adoption day.   Please note that you must be 25 years of age to adopt and we reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone.  Please be advised that we will not approve adoptions to persons who mislead or fail to provide accurate information on this application.  Incomplete applications will not be processed. Tyson is an active boy - he does need to keep moving, play hard, then crash and snuggle.  Tyson's foster mom says he's really just the most "lovely pupper." Tyson and his siblings had been left to their own devices early in life, so they are now learning how to be part of a family where the people are in charge, and they are doing really well.  The fosters involved with this group have worked on consistent training to bring them up to speed and it's working!  They are food motivated and eager to learn.  Tyson is good with other dogs and is agreeable to cats - however he does like a bit of a chase - not to harm, just to chase.  As with all new pets, Tyson will need time to adjust to his new family and surroundings.  We believe he will do well in an active family with time for outdoo r activities plus indoor downtime.  He will also need someone interested in continuing with the basic training he is getting now, but missed out on as a very young pup in order to make him the best adult dog he can be.  The effort will be rewarded with love and compan ionship for a lifetime. Story
Meet Alexis! Alexis is an adorable 4 month puppy (Sept ) and 14 pounds. He is the brother to Alexander who is also up for adoption with us! They are both very playful but a little shy meeting new people at first, but they warm up! If interested in adopting, please complete our application - you can copy and paste: https://www.miraclesforsatosrescue.org/adoption-foster-application ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently in Puerto Rico. Once an adopter is fully approved, transport will be arranged to the New York/NJ area. We DO adopt out of state, but you must come to pick up. In addition, if you are applying for this dog or any of our pups, you must be open to dog psychology/behavior (Cesar Millan) and fulfilling the needs of the dog. We strive for our dogs to be adopted into the right home. The best fit for the dog is our priority. We ask that you please make sure if interested in a puppy or high energy breed that you are ready for this time consuming/daily endeavor and have patience as this is a long term commitment (could be 15+ years). Please consider your future lifestyle after COVID. Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it needs for fulfillment. Your ongoing time and day-to-day commitment is the most important thing in caring for a dog. In addition we cannot guarantee breed of any dog or expected adult size of a puppy. Thank you for understanding.

Story
Quinn's basic bio is below, but we maintain more detailed information about each of our animals on our website, which is also always up to date with animals removed immediately once they are adopted. Please visit Quinn's page on our site (https://www.muddypawsrescue.org/adoptable?dog=008263) to learn even more about Quinn! Additionally, please note that the breed listed for Quinn is just our best guess based on the dog's physical features. We cannot make any guarantees about the accuracy of our guesses. PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO VOLUME, WE ARE GENERALLY UNABLE TO RESPOND TO INQUIRIES MADE USING THE 'ASK ABOUT ME' BUTTON. Please reach out to us directly using the contact information on our website: www.muddypawsrescue.org. Quinn has been such a joy to foster and makes us laugh non stop. First of all, she’s got those great ham legs that sploot behind her when she lays down. As you could tell from her pictures she has quite the sizable head on her shoulders but from what we’ve seen it’s only skills are licking and eating. Quinn enjoys treats and can be very food motivated. This has been great as we try to improve some of her skills with basic commands but can also lead her to sniffing out and then jumping up to investigate the smells further. Her jumping is something we are working on as well as her house training which she is improving on. Quinn loves people and dogs. She’s eager to interact with the various dogs in our building and always wiggles with excitement to say hi to new faces. Lastly, Quinn loves a good nap and she is truly gifted when it comes to napping. She can fall asleep within 10 seconds, followed by deep and humorous snores. She will bring much love to a household!
