Story
Takia is a beautiful, sweet young dog with strikingly unique eyes—one of each color! She is well-mannered, potty trained, and loves affection, though she can be a little shy when meeting new people or adjusting to new places. This is understandable, given her recent life changes: she gave birth to a litter of puppies, was rescued, and is now settling into her foster home. As she continues to warm up, it’s clear Takia craves human companionship and loves to be near her people. Despite her past, she’s eager to learn and still has the playful, curious spirit of a puppy. She gets along well with other dogs when introduced properly and enjoys playtime, but she doesn’t quite understand cats and tends to leave them alone. Takia is still learning to relax and enjoy life outside of survival mode, and she’s discovering the joys of toys, especially when it comes to chewing. She loves to cuddle close to her humans, basking in the warmth and comfort of a soft bed or couch. Though she’s still getting the hang of treats, she’s already a fan of mealtime. Takia is making great progress with crate training, and she’s been accident-free in the house. She will benefit from continued leash training and commands like sit or stay, but with patience and consistency, she will thrive. Takia will do best in a family that offers her the grace, love, and stability she needs as she embraces her new life as part of a family. Story
Zella is a sweet and affectionate girl who absolutely loves humans of all ages. She's the perfect cuddle companion and will happily snuggle up with you for some quality bonding time. Zella can be a bit anxious, so she's looking for a home where she can feel secure and get plenty of love and attention. Zella is food-motivated, making her eager to learn with the right treats! She's already crate trained and keeps her crate neat and tidy. Zella has excellent indoor manners and feels most comfortable lounging around with her people. Whether you're working from home or enjoying a quiet evening on the couch, she'll be right by your side, offering love and companionship. She's house-trained and will let you know when she needs to go out. Zella doesn't chew on furniture but loves chew toys. She knows how to relax indoors. While she enjoys long walks or playtime outside, she truly shines as an indoor dog. If you're looking for an affectionate friend who thrives in a homey environment, Zella might just be the perfect match! She is now leash trained with a gentle leader or a front clip harness and will thrive with a patient owner who can offer consistency and positive reinforcement. As Zella prefers to be the only pet, she's searching for a home where she can be the star. A fenced-in yard would be a great fit to give her the space to play safely. Although Zella loves people of all ages, we recommend a home without small children to provide her with the calm environment she needs. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion, Zella is ready to meet you and be your new best friend! Apply to adopt at www.campcompanion.org Adoption fee is $300 plus tax
