Story
Asha’s owners loved her but had a farm, and she had a taste for the owner's chickens and chose to surrender her. Asha is high-energy and loves to play, but also loves her snuggles and being with people. She has tested well with dogs, but due to her prey drive towards chickens, we are hesitant to suggest a home with small animals/cats. Asha is heartworm-negative, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready for her new home. This furbaby is located at Animal Harbor in southern middle TN. You can apply at www.animalharbor.org If approved, we will facilitate a virtual meet and greet and answer any questions you may have. We partner with the awesome transport service company Rescue Riders to safely and professionally move our animals to their loving new homes

Story
This girl was found as a stray and her owners refused to come pick her up so she is in search of another home. She is a sweet lady, a bit shy, but friendly. She is out of any puppy energy phase but does still like to play and she does get the zoomies. She was house-trained so would need to relearn it. She does well in a car and is okay on a leash. She does not get along with smaller dogs and probably not a fan of cats. She will need time to warm up to a person but is just a sweetheart when she knows you! She would be wonderful as a walking companion and lounge buddy. She is in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.

Story
Moe is a sweet puppy born 12/8/23 who has the loyalty and intelligence of his shepherd and pitbull lineage, weighing in at 30 pounds, Moe is a spunky guy with a sensitive demeanor and a loving spirit. And his big honey eyes are full of gratitude and curiosity. Moe thrives on companionship and is known for his affectionate, cuddly nature. He enjoys spending time with both his canine foster siblings and older human friends. Although he can be a bit nervous about quick movements, he could be great with a gradual introduction to kids or an older, confident dog. Moe loves to play with squeaky toys and bones, and his curiosity extends to exploring new people and environments. He has shown he’s adaptable, though he prefers to avoid loud noises and quick leash tugs.  Moe was the runt of his litter, so he does like to have his meals away from wandering eyes and noses. Although he's smaller than his brother he definitely seems like the brains of the operation. He is up-to-date on all vaccinations, neutered, and receives regular flea and tick treatment. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate companion, Moe could be the perfect fit for you!   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. She has been doing so well and is starting to shine! Once she knows you, Helga will show her love for you by doing tippy taps when you walk in the door, snuggling with you at night, and maybe even kissing your face when you wake up. She is also so smart, she recently  learned her first command ‘touch’ and is ready  to learn more!  Helga is good with dogs and cats. She is most energetic in the mornings when she likes to run and play with her foster brother after breakfast.  Her days are spent relaxing in her favorite couch spot,  playing with her toys, and enjoying time in  the backyard. When the weather is nice she goes for walks by the river. If you’re looking for someone to hang with you and watch movies, Helga is your girl.  Helga would do well in a calm home with a predictable routine.  She will need a person who can be patient and give her the time she needs to trust and build confidence. It is also important she has another self assured dog in the home to show her that she can be brave. Helga would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard and no shared walls. Story
Hi! I'm Lootzy! From his foster: Lootsey is a real lover boy. He will steal your heart in an instant. He continues to be cautious with transitions barking at unexpected noises but in a short time he is building trust realizing he is in a safe, secure and caring home. He loves outside, his stuffed toys, playing with the resident dog and snuggling on a lap. Having a companion dog has been reassuring and calming for him. He loves following the resident dog around and Play time is entertaining to watch. He is doing well with house training. He follows the resident dogs lead heading outside to potty. He is crate trained and uses his crate as a safe place to observe visitors or unfamiliar activities going on in the house. Giving him his space during meal times is helpful. He is very nervous when eating. He gulps his food and takes breaks to check his surroundings.

Story
I’m Nutella and am from Alabama. My foster momma says I should dream big because I deserve my biggest dream. So here it goes. My wish is to find my forever home. A home that is going to love me unconditionally for all that I am. See I only have three legs. After I was hit by a car in 2023 the doctors did everything they could to save my leg however the best thing for me was to amputate in April 2023. I’ve had to adjust lots since then however I’m a Warrior! These amazing humans from Warrior Dog Rescue brought me to Minnesota where more amazing humans brought me into their home, have shown me so much love, and taken care of me while I continue to heal. They have taken me to a special dog therapy doctor. I have a special bed I lay on every day that is really helping me feel better. I also take some really good medication that helps me feel better too. Our goal is to one day not need all of them. We are working on my walking. I can walk about five minutes and then I need to be done but each week I can another 5 minutes and see how I do. I do get pretty sore but we are confident in time I’ll be able to walk longer. It’s hard to keep me down :) I’m in what the humans call my adolescence stage. Where I can be a little stubborn and sassy. I need a family that will understand my breed and need for at times to have some space and make me take “breaks” as my foster mom calls them. See sometimes I don’t know what’s best for me and I need to take a break. I dream of a home that will have a fenced in yard to keep me safe. As much as I like to play with the dogs I live with (4 of them), I might like being the only dog or one that doesn’t mind me stealing the bones and toys and doesn’t react. I really like the resident cat and we play often. My other dream would be to have a home where they continue to help me on my healing journey and a home without a lot of stairs. My foster mom says I’m the best snuggler and have the softest ears. She giggles when they bounce when I bark. I love snuggling in bed and enjoy the little massages I get. I do really well in my kennel when they leave for work or when they leave me out. I also like to chew on bones and balls. I also like when my foster momma puts out puzzles for me to play with, it keeps my mind busy and really enjoy the treats that are in them. I can’t wait to be able to run in the yard and chase after the ball like I used to. I also love to be outside and find the treasures I bring outside and chew on sticks. I really like being on the boat in the summer. Foster momma also says there are so many things to love about me it’s hard to put in words. Would you consider making my dream come true? --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $400To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
Hello Minnnesota … Whistler here from Alabama! I just arrived in July and already excited to make this my new home. I am naturally a happy guy and so far have gotten along with every dog I’ve met. I love to play and be with my humans. I’m a good boy at night and sleep in my kennel. I also do my business outside. I’m doing really well at sit and working on touch. They tell me I’m a very smart boy. I love to snuggle and lay with you on the couch. I even like to sit outside. I haven’t been around kids yet however my foster mom is confident I’d do extremely well. My foster family also has a cat that I don’t seem to bother, but he also stays away most of the time. Im ready for my forever family, let’s meet!! --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Story
Star was rescued in Louisiana. A lady that found her called me and said that she could not find a rescue group in Louisiana to take her. She had a gunshot wound through her jaw and ear. She was in pain. She brought her to me in Mississippi, and I got her the medical treatment that she needed. She had jaw surgery, and now her tongue permanently hangs out. We think this makes her uniquely special!! I know that her tongue hanging out may be a deterrent for a permanent home, but Star is such a sweet baby. She cannot help it that somebody shot her. She is a Catahoula hound, and her tail is docked. Star is a very sweet and loves to ride in the car. She loves dogs, and she loves children. She loves to roll over for a belly rub, and she knows the sit command. She is extremely smart. She loves to load up and ride in the car, and I believe that she was somebody’s baby at one time! Star has been in foster care and boarding for a while, and she wants a forever home! Also, if you live out of state, we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. We alternate between the Northeast and the Midwest every other weekend. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee.

Story
Welcome Zeus to CCPAL Foster Program. Zeus is a 18-month old 70 pound Plot Hound/Medium Terrier blend dog. He was abandonded by his owners when they moved and left him at the house they moved from. He was tied up to the porch. Good Samaritans spotted him and were feeding him and giving him water until they realized the owners weren’t coming back. Zeus is now in foster home waiting for his new forever home. He is great on a leash and not leash reactive. He is good in a crate and he likes car rides. He is attentive, smart and potty trained. He is overall a wonderful dog and is not food aggressive or reactive with his bowl. He would make a wonderful outdoor enthusiast a great companion. He would make a perfect man dog. He looks tough but he is not at all how he looks. He would make a great family dog if the man works out of the house. His looks would make the family feel secure even if he loves everyone. He is a lower shedding dog with a nice soft coat. He is healthy, vaccinated and neutered. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. This handsome fella needs a strong, gentle pack leader who will not allow him to be in charge.  Yes he is a big boy and can be a bit overwhelming to some but when he knows you are the boss because you guide him to do the right thing, he is all yes ma’am, yes sir.  He will need continued training and yes, we have a trainer already set up to work with him.  We just need a adopter who is willing to put in the time for socialization and training.  He will thrive in an environment that has boundaries and expectations for him to follow. He is true to his people and although needs a minute to be ok with strangers, once he is comfortable, he is all snuggles and happy wiggles. He is housebroken and crate trained and walks well on a leash.  Right now he prefers to be the only dog in the home.  He can be around other dogs, but is a bit awkward and wants to show them he is the boss.  Yes, the trainer will help with that.   Look at that face….
