Story
Hi! I'm Lootzy! From his foster: Lootsey is a real lover boy. He will steal your heart in an instant. He continues to be cautious with transitions barking at unexpected noises but in a short time he is building trust realizing he is in a safe, secure and caring home. He loves outside, his stuffed toys, playing with the resident dog and snuggling on a lap. Having a companion dog has been reassuring and calming for him. He loves following the resident dog around and Play time is entertaining to watch. He is doing well with house training. He follows the resident dogs lead heading outside to potty. He is crate trained and uses his crate as a safe place to observe visitors or unfamiliar activities going on in the house. Giving him his space during meal times is helpful. He is very nervous when eating. He gulps his food and takes breaks to check his surroundings.

Story
I’m Nutella and am from Alabama. My foster momma says I should dream big because I deserve my biggest dream. So here it goes. My wish is to find my forever home. A home that is going to love me unconditionally for all that I am. See I only have three legs. After I was hit by a car in 2023 the doctors did everything they could to save my leg however the best thing for me was to amputate in April 2023. I’ve had to adjust lots since then however I’m a Warrior! These amazing humans from Warrior Dog Rescue brought me to Minnesota where more amazing humans brought me into their home, have shown me so much love, and taken care of me while I continue to heal. They have taken me to a special dog therapy doctor. I have a special bed I lay on every day that is really helping me feel better. I also take some really good medication that helps me feel better too. Our goal is to one day not need all of them. We are working on my walking. I can walk about five minutes and then I need to be done but each week I can another 5 minutes and see how I do. I do get pretty sore but we are confident in time I’ll be able to walk longer. It’s hard to keep me down :) I’m in what the humans call my adolescence stage. Where I can be a little stubborn and sassy. I need a family that will understand my breed and need for at times to have some space and make me take “breaks” as my foster mom calls them. See sometimes I don’t know what’s best for me and I need to take a break. I dream of a home that will have a fenced in yard to keep me safe. As much as I like to play with the dogs I live with (4 of them), I might like being the only dog or one that doesn’t mind me stealing the bones and toys and doesn’t react. I really like the resident cat and we play often. My other dream would be to have a home where they continue to help me on my healing journey and a home without a lot of stairs. My foster mom says I’m the best snuggler and have the softest ears. She giggles when they bounce when I bark. I love snuggling in bed and enjoy the little massages I get. I do really well in my kennel when they leave for work or when they leave me out. I also like to chew on bones and balls. I also like when my foster momma puts out puzzles for me to play with, it keeps my mind busy and really enjoy the treats that are in them. I can’t wait to be able to run in the yard and chase after the ball like I used to. I also love to be outside and find the treasures I bring outside and chew on sticks. I really like being on the boat in the summer. Foster momma also says there are so many things to love about me it’s hard to put in words. Would you consider making my dream come true? --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Story
Hello Minnnesota … Whistler here from Alabama! I just arrived in July and already excited to make this my new home. I am naturally a happy guy and so far have gotten along with every dog I’ve met. I love to play and be with my humans. I’m a good boy at night and sleep in my kennel. I also do my business outside. I’m doing really well at sit and working on touch. They tell me I’m a very smart boy. I love to snuggle and lay with you on the couch. I even like to sit outside. I haven’t been around kids yet however my foster mom is confident I’d do extremely well. My foster family also has a cat that I don’t seem to bother, but he also stays away most of the time. Im ready for my forever family, let’s meet!! --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Story
Moe is a sweet puppy born 12/8/23 who has the loyalty and intelligence of his shepherd and pitbull lineage, weighing in at 30 pounds, Moe is a spunky guy with a sensitive demeanor and a loving spirit. And his big honey eyes are full of gratitude and curiosity. Moe thrives on companionship and is known for his affectionate, cuddly nature. He enjoys spending time with both his canine foster siblings and older human friends. Although he can be a bit nervous about quick movements, he could be great with a gradual introduction to kids or an older, confident dog. Moe loves to play with squeaky toys and bones, and his curiosity extends to exploring new people and environments. He has shown he’s adaptable, though he prefers to avoid loud noises and quick leash tugs.  Moe was the runt of his litter, so he does like to have his meals away from wandering eyes and noses. Although he's smaller than his brother he definitely seems like the brains of the operation. He is up-to-date on all vaccinations, neutered, and receives regular flea and tick treatment. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate companion, Moe could be the perfect fit for you!   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $525.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 5:33 pm
