Story
Ollie is estimated to be about 10 months old (9-24). We sure think he looks like a Mountain Cur. This breed is considered rare but are quite common in South. His foster reports that is much calmer and gentler than expected. He is great puppy manners! The Mountain Curs are well-loved family dogs who thrive in the right environment, getting along great with kids and other dogs. Their high energy levels make them best suited for an active family where ample exercise and mental stimulation will be provided. Mountain Curs are known for their intelligence, tenacity, and high energy levels. Thanks to their history of working side-by-side with pioneers, they have a strong work ethic and thrive when given a job to do.Their short, dense coat requires minimal grooming, making them a relatively low-maintenance breed. However, their high energy levels mean they need regular exercise and mental stimulation to keep them happy and healthy. Mountain Cur dogs do best in a home with an active, outdoorsy family who spends their weekends hiking, hunting, or just hanging out in their fenced-in yard.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Story
This girl was found as a stray and her owners refused to come pick her up so she is in search of another home. She is a sweet lady, a bit shy, but friendly. She is out of any puppy energy phase but does still like to play and she does get the zoomies. She was house-trained so would need to relearn it. She does well in a car and is okay on a leash. She does not get along with smaller dogs and probably not a fan of cats. She will need time to warm up to a person but is just a sweetheart when she knows you! She would be wonderful as a walking companion and lounge buddy. She is in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.

These pups are in Livonia, Michigan too!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Paisley is a great pup, she's super sweet, practically a professional cuddle, very smart, food and treat motivated, so will be easy to train with consistency and positive reinforcement as she is also a pleaser. She also has no resource guarding. Paisley loves other dogs and is good with my cat, though may be a bit rough for an older or frailer feline. She has medium energy, is crate and potty trained, and loves her toys. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. January 7, 2025, 10:06 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Dillon, one of our newest residents at the Mikey & Me kennels for Happy Days Rescue. Dillon is a handsome and quirky little mixed breed dog, he’s approx. 10 months of age, he has a soft, brindled coat, and he weighs approximately 45 pounds. Dillon enjoys meeting new people and he’s reported to do well with other dogs. Dillon was pretty scared upon arrival so we’re giving him some down time to decompress. He is extremely friendly but he doesn’t always want to go outside. But after only three days, he has settled in to his new environment, built trust with members of our volunteer team, and he seems eager for his next adventures. Dillon was vaccinated in late December, shortly after being found as a stray and fending for himself. His first Vet appt. is being scheduled this afternoon; he will get additional vaccinations, a microchip, and whatever else he is due for. If you would like to meet this quirky, sweet boy, please submit an adoption application under his name at happydaysdogandcatrescue.org. Otherwise, please help me find Dillon’s forever home by sharing this post with your friends and family, if you can.   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 11, 2025, 4:28 am
