We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay on Petfinder until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. Story
This gal has been at the shelter since she was a day old. Her momma was in an abandoned house and brought to us during the snowstorms in January. She and her sister are the last 2 babies to find homes. Abra is more outgoing and eager to greet people. She is always a happy face to see and loves people. She has the puppy energy and will need all the puppy basic training. She is a fun girl to be around. She gets along with other pups her size, she hasn’t been around too many larger dogs. She will probably be around 40lbs when full grown as that’s what her mama is, we have no idea about the dad.

Story
Asha’s owners loved her but had a farm, and she had a taste for the owner's chickens and chose to surrender her. Asha is high-energy and loves to play, but also loves her snuggles and being with people. She has tested well with dogs, but due to her prey drive towards chickens, we are hesitant to suggest a home with small animals/cats. Asha is heartworm-negative, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready for her new home. This furbaby is located at Animal Harbor in southern middle TN. You can apply at www.animalharbor.org If approved, we will facilitate a virtual meet and greet and answer any questions you may have. We partner with the awesome transport service company Rescue Riders to safely and professionally move our animals to their loving new homes

Named Boo because he came into rescue in the month of Oct., there's nothing scary about this pup! He is very playful and loves playing with his roommate. Story
Hi, here’s a little bit about Ellie! Ellie is a 5 year old mix who is protective and lovable to those she cares about. She is extremely smart and trains very easily. Some current tricks up her sleeve includes knowing how to grab her harness and leash on command, she grabs keys on command, she prays over her food, she loves to play hide n seek, and she like to pick which hand has the hidden treat lol. This girl has tons of personality and expression. Her cutest features includes her golden eyes and beautiful fluffy long tail. I would love for her to go to a home that is active and able to give her all the activity and running time she deserves.
