Ollie is estimated to be about 10 months old (9-24). We sure think he looks like a Mountain Cur. This breed is considered rare but are quite common in South. His foster reports that is much calmer and more gentle than expected. He is great puppy manners! The Mountain Curs are well-loved family dogs who thrive in the right environment, getting along great with kids and other dogs. Their high energy levels make them best suited for an active family where ample exercise and mental stimulation will be provided. Mountain Curs are known for their intelligence, tenacity, and high energy levels. Thanks to their history of working side-by-side with pioneers, they have a strong work ethic and thrive when given a job to do.Their short, dense coat requires minimal grooming, making them a relatively low-maintenance breed. However, their high energy levels mean they need regular exercise and mental stimulation to keep them happy and healthy. Mountain Cur dogs do best in a home with an active, outdoorsy family who spends their weekends hiking, hunting, or just hanging out in their fenced-in yard.This dog is sheltered in a foster based, nonprofit rescue. Razzle Taz has the most beautiful coal black eyes that pierce your soul as he stares at you begging for some love and attention. This boy was taken from an abusive family who were bragging to co-workers about kicking and tying him up. The co-worker contacted Critter Cavalry and we found a wonderful foster family that is spending time getting to know Razzle Taz and what his emotional and physical needs will be in life. This boy is 6 months old and weighs 32 pounds. He is slim and sleek and has the energy of 3 puppies. This boy is so smart and curious and he needs mentally fun challenges daily and some real walking and exercise time in a fenced backyard or on the road running with an active person. This boy is very smart and would benefit from games, flyball, agility classes, just thinking activities paired with exercise. He is friendly with everyone and good with cats, dogs, children and ready to take on learning all he can about the world. Bruce is a fabulous example of a forgiving and loving dog that was abandoned and found himself on the streets of a small town in Tennessee. He had nowhere to go and some kind people took him in to hold him safely while Critter Cavalry Rescue takes time to find him the best home ever. He is a Plott hound/Pit mix from what we can see in his markings and his stature. He is 2 years old and 65 pounds and he is one special dog that is so handsome and is truly a gentle giant! This boy has everything going for him with great house manners and housebroken as well. He crate trained and is living in a foster home in an apartment. He is a medium energy young man that gets along well with the other dog in his foster home. He loves play time outside, as well as being a snuggly couch potato. Bruce is learning to walk on leash and will need daily practice to stop pulling. He loves to ride in a car, likes carrots and ice cubes. When at home he loves to look out the window and will do that for hours. Recently he spent some time boarding and was a favorite with the staff and he demonstrated an ability to be very sweet and easy with some of the children of the staff members. The only NO about Bruce is that he is not fond of cats, so no feline siblings. He would probably do best with another gentle, playful dog of his same size. He would be fine being the only dog and always center of attention, too! Older children over 7 years of age might be best, but only because of his size. If you are looking for a best friend and/or family member to run, hike, play, explore, and then curl up for some couch time, Bruce is your guy! He is so beautiful and regal. He looks around like he is surveying his kingdom and hoping that all is well. You could really make his life a happy ending if you could consider adopting Bruce. My name is Robbie and I am puppy at heart and only 6 months old. My pictures make me look big but ready I am not big at all. I only weigh 35 pounds at 6 months and they say I will be 65-70- pounds as an adult. I LUV KIDS! My heart leaps for joy when I See children that I can play with and love on. I am a boy that loves to run fast and for a little bit of time too. I need not only physical Exercise but also some fun games and training games to help my smart brain feel challenged too. I need a fenced yard and someone To help share playtime and games with me sometimes. I could use the company of another dog as well to help me with the physical Playtime outside and also to keep me active with socialization with other dogs. We think that Robbie has some Pointer in him since He raises once leg and seems to point quite often during this outside playtime. He is alert and very smart. He walks pretty well on a leash and he is curious to learn more things about life. He is not inside a lot so we would have to say that he could be housebroken fast if given some one on one Attention and training. This boy is good with cats, dogs and adores children. He never meets a stranger and he will needs a fenced yard To best live within safely and to run and play for long hours if the weather is good. We want a wonderful dog savvy and loving family for Robbie. He will be a 65 pounds boy when fully grown we think.
