Story
Hi, I'm Milo. I came to the shelter as a stray, my owner was found but they never came to get me. I am a very sweet boy and can be timid. I am playful and curious. I am good with other dogs, but very weary of new dogs I meet. I'm questionable with cats. I have had good experiences with them and I have wanted to chase them too. I can sit and lay down for treats. I love toys. I'm not doing the best at the shelter. They try to make me as comfortable as possible but this just isn't a home. Please, give me a chance and give me my fur-ever home.

Story
Hi! My name is Princess and I am a 5 year, possible catahoula/mountain curr mix and I weigh 49 pounds. My previous owners had to move and their new home didn't allow pets. I am a happy dog and I'm like a Walmart greeter - everyone is my friend. I know how to sit when told and shake. One of my favorite things to do is to go for walks. I try my best to behave but can tug on the leash here and there. And if I see a squirrel, I tug hard for a moment or two. I really want to chase them. I am a smart girl but with a bit of patience and training, I will be a well behaved dog. I currently live with another larger dog. We are good buddies. When I go to the dog park, I am cautious and curious around other dogs. When the leash is off, I love to run super fast. If you would like to meet Princess please fill out an application at www.rescueahart.org.

Story
Meet Cherry 🍒 2 year old, Mixed breed, 30lbs, female Cherry came to us a few months ago after she was abandoned in a parking lot with cardboard box full of newborn pups. Luckily a Good Samaritan picked her up and got her to safety. She had 8 beautiful pups and she was such a good mommy. Now it’s her turn to find a forever home! She is on the submissive side and good with other dogs. She is house trained, although we do think she has never lived indoors with a family. We are working on her confidence and she will need a patient home. Cherry is very sweet and loves her belly rubbed. We believe she may be a Mountain Cur mix. Cherry is now current on vaccines, heart worm tested negative, spay, and microchipped. We are accepting applications at https://form.jotform.com/secondhandpaws/app

Story
Bogart is a handsome guy who is: • Good with other dogs. • Easy to walk on a leash. • Possibly housetrained- keeps his kennel clean. • Smart- knows “sit” and possibly other commands. • Affectionate - enjoys cuddling and attention! Bogart came to the shelter as a stray and was not reclaimed. As a result, we do not know his backstory. We have noticed that he does not like loud noises or cars. He also can be a little shy when meeting new people and dogs, but he warms up quickly. This guy may need a little grace and patience in a new home as he learns he is safe, but he will be your best friend if you give him a chance. If you can provide this guy with a loving home, apply to adopt him now!

Story
Mountain Cur Beagle Mix. Sugar and Spice and everything nice, these are the 3 ingredients to making the perfect little girl. Buttercup is the middle sister to Blossom and Bubbles (adopted) and is also ready to be adopted! Blossom enjoys playing in water, she absolutely loves to lay in the pool or use her foot on the sprinkler like a hand. Buttercup is already showing signs of being housebroken as her kennel is always clean. Buttercup will be the perfect dog for any family. She is great with cats, dogs, and children. She loves to talk and will let you know if she is happy or needs something. Her favorite thing to do is rough house with her sister Blossom while out in the yard. Buttercup is ready for adoption.
