I’m ready to bring lots of love, tail wags, and joy into your home. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s eager to be part of the family, I’d love to meet you!Fill out an adoption application online at: https://www.hshcky.org/

Story
Here’s an adoption bio for George:Hi, I’m George! I’m a 16-week-old male mountain cur mix with big, curious eyes and a heart full of love. I may look a little shy – that’s because I was picked up as a stray, and this shelter environment can be pretty overwhelming for a sensitive pup like me. But don’t let that fool you! I’m a sweet boy just waiting for the right family to help me feel safe and loved.I dream of a forever home where I can settle in, relax, and show my true, playful side. If you’re patient and willing to give me the time I need, I promise to be your loyal companion, bringing joy and tail wags to every day. Could you be the one to help me start my next adventure?Fill out an adoption application online at: https://www.hshcky.org/

Story
Cooper 3!     DOB: 2020    Weight: 50lbs   Coop here is one of our longer term dogs because the initial meet always pushed people away. He’s and adult pointer mix who’s bouncy and talkative. Sometimes he can be mouthy as well and people tend to take it the wrong way. When you first meet him, you’d think him to be a mannerless fool, but he can be well behaved, I promise. Cooper is house trained once he learns the schedule. He’s also treat motivated and enjoys playing with his toys. He’ll play fetch with a tennis ball too. Once he settles down, he’ll sit by you and wait for you to start rubbing his head and ears. Right now Cooper should be an only pet. He wants to chase cats and while he’s kenneled by other dogs just fine, he hasn’t been a fan of hanging out with them.  His adoption fee is $175. That helps us to cover worming, vaccines, spay/neuter, heart worm test, and microchip. We offer a 2-3 week trial. If for some reason it does not work out, you’ll be refunded $100 of your fee. If interested in adopting him please fill out an application on our NEW website. https://www.newliferescues.org . If you have issues, send us a message through our Facebook. Came to the shelter 2020. ***YOU MUST FILL OUT AN APPLICATION BEFORE WE DO ANY MEET AND GREETS. QUESTIONS? Story
Rapala!   DOB: 8/2017   Weight: 55lbs Rapala is a friendly 6.5yr old Catahoula who sports one gorgeous coat! She was surrendered by her owner recently along with another dog. Her owner said both are all around good dogs. Do well with other dogs, people friendly. Rapala is quiet in her kennel here and walks decent on the leash. She's a little shy and takes a bit to warm up but is sweet once past that. Her adoption fee is $175. That helps us to cover worming, vaccines, spay/neuter, heart worm test, and microchip. We offer a 2-3 week trial. If for some reason it does not work out, you'll be refunded $100 of your fee.
