Story
Kirsch is a 2 year old female Mountain Cur mix. She was rescued from shelter as time was running out for her. Kirsch is an affectionate, loving dog. She LOVES to play and most of the time, has a toy in her mouth. Kirsch likes to wrestle with other dogs her size and then crashes on the couch to recharge. She gets along well with other dogs and cats. She would love an active family to match her energy, and because of that, she would do best with older children. She does need a fenced yard. Kirsch walks well on a leash and is both crate and house trained. Kirsch had a cherry eye on the left eye, which was surgically corrected, but it does occasionally become red. If you'd like to meet our gorgeous brindle girl, please contact us!     Thank you for your interest in adopting from HMF.  All of our pets are spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped and otherwise healthy, unless noted in the description.  Our adoption area is within 50 miles of Franklin/Bargersville, IN. Story
Pumba is 6-7 year old male Mountain cur or Feist mix. He is super friendly, playful, and affectionate to everyone. He gets along fine with other gentle dogs and likes kids. Unknown with cats. He keeps a clean kennel and is probably housetrained. Pumba is 54 lbs and could lose a few pounds. He likes car rides and being close to people. He has a lovely outgoing personality and will be a fantastic family pet and companion. Pumba has a lot of energy for his age and can keep up with fun loving kids. His brother Timon is at shelter too and they can be adopted together or separately. They get along well together. He is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative and is on nexgard plus. Adopt fee $50. Call 765-994-5201 for more info and to set up an appointment to visit.

Story
Hi my name is precious. I’m a very loving dog. I love to give kisses and I love to cuddle. I’m a very smart girl I know how to sit, laydown, shake, and high-five. When I get treats I’m very easy at taking them I’m the best when it comes to walking on a leash. I play super well with my friends but can be picky when it comes to some dogs. I am potty trained and kennel trained. Looking for my forever home and family.

Story
Meet Cherry 🍒 2 year old, Mixed breed, 30lbs, female Cherry came to us a few months ago after she was abandoned in a parking lot with cardboard box full of newborn pups. Luckily a Good Samaritan picked her up and got her to safety. She had 8 beautiful pups and she was such a good mommy. Now it’s her turn to find a forever home! She is on the submissive side and good with other dogs. She is house trained, although we do think she has never lived indoors with a family. We are working on her confidence and she will need a patient home. Cherry is very sweet and loves her belly rubbed. We believe she may be a Mountain Cur mix. Cherry is now current on vaccines, heart worm tested negative, spay, and microchipped. We are accepting applications at https://form.jotform.com/secondhandpaws/app

Story
Welcome back Jax (Newton) ❤️ Born 5/19/23, approximately 20lbs, neutered male Introducing Jax! Jax is looking for a new family, he was adopted as a puppy but was returned to rescue. Jax is a Mountain Cur/ Australian Cattle Dog and Rat Terrier mix, which means he is driven and craves attention. He has an eagerness to please that we don’t see in many dogs, making him a fantastic dog for someone who enjoys the outdoors, such as hiking, walking, camping or just a leisure walk around the neighborhood. Jax would also excel at agility or a similar activity, he is a quick and agile guy. Jax can be a bit possessive of his person and his toys so he needs a person who while give him clear direction and corrections. He responds very well to verbal commands, he knows what is expected, but he likes to push those boundaries sometimes, he is still young after all. Jax is totally house and crate trained. He walks well on a leash and knows several commands such as sit, down, shake, drop it and stay. If Jax sounds like he would be a good fit for your life, he would love to meet you! He current on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. We are accepting applications at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SHPA/Dog
