Story
*Pygmy is one of our Home for the Holidays featured pets! His adoption fee is sponsored, and he also comes with a customized training package from Paws & Play Dog Resort & Training Center!*Meet Pygmy, the 8-year-old, 53 lb bundle of quirks and charm! Hailing from a farm, Pygmy had a bit of a `barkument` with a goat once (let`s just say they didn`t exchange friendship bracelets). While Pygmy might not be on speaking terms with goats, he’s looking for a drama-free life elsewhere. He`s a wildlife enthusiast, so outside adventures might involve a bit of `wildlife-watching,` and he`s quite the vocal storyteller!Pygmy`s a professional at tippy-tapping when excited and could definitely hold his own in a singing contest (the audience might need some earplugs). He’s looking for a cat-free zone, but in all other aspects, he`s a sweetheart. If you have dogs at home, bring them for a meet-and-greet at the shelter to see if they hit it off. If you`re ready to welcome a furry friend who`s full of character, Pygmy`s here to bring joy and plenty of amusing adventures to your life!-----Adoption Fees & Benefits:Under 1 year: $2001-4 years: $1005-9 years: $5510+ years: $35Fees include: Heartworm test (age appropriate), vaccinations, flea/tick preventative, complimentary bag of food, wellness exam, and rabies vaccine.Important Notice: A `meet and greet` with any existing dogs in your home is required, supervised by our team in our play areas. If you are interested in adopting an ARPO pet, please visit our website, for details about our fees and process, and to complete our Adoption Application.   ARPO limits adoptions to within 50 miles of Indianapolis.  We do not have a shelter; all pets are in volunteer foster homes.  Hi, I'm Zena.  I am looking for my forever home.  I'm a beautiful and unique looking girl who is playful and sweet once I'm comfortable.  I'm a young girl born around April of 2023.  I like a good walk and do pretty well on leash.  I do well with dogs, cats, and respectful kids.  I do love to play and can get a little rough, so any canine friends should be able to match that.  It takes me a while to warm up to strangers, and I probably wouldn't be great with toddlers.  School aged kids would probably be best.  My breed mix is anyone's guess.  I look like a I could have some catahoula leopard dog, maybe some beagle, maybe some bully breed.  It's really hard to say.     I'm crate trained and housebroken.  I'm also spayed, microchipped, current on my shots, and HW negative.  If you're interested in meeting me please fill out an application and my friends with ARPO will be in touch! If you are interested in adopting an ARPO pet, please complete the online Adoption Application.  If you would like to donate to this pet's care, please click here. November 18, 2024, 9:36 pm
