Story
Mason is approximately 6 months old and weighs about 25lbs. He is a little shy at first and just needs a bit of time to warm up to show you that he is a happy, sweet, playful boy that is said to be good with other dogs, kids and even cats.  Foster home update: mason is doing well with house training.  He is good with and loves other dogs, is more on the submissive side, loves people and snuggling too!  Food motivated (which is great for training time)! Loves toys, bones and playing fetch.  Not a big fan of the crate and will protest, but working on that.  We recommend training for all our puppies! **Breed or size (once fully grown) is a 'best guess' and is not guaranteed since they arrived into rescue without either parent. **Magnificent Mutts is an all foster home based rescue and meets are held by appointment with the entire family in attendance. Please ensure your current pets are up to date with vetting, have landlord/HOA approval and are prepared to take your new family member home at the adoption appointment.  Thank you for your interest!                             If you are interested in adoption, please complete the "Application to Adopt" which can be accessed from this link: (     www.magnificentmutts.org )  No phone calls please, emails only. Adoption donations range between $360-$400 (cash only), unless otherwise noted. Prices are subject to change, please contact for specific adoption donation. Story
This young boy was found tied to a bridge and abandoned. Bingo is now with Mag Mutts where we will find him a great home and will never have to worry about that again! He is still a puppy that hasn't had much structure in his short life and will need someone who's willing to work him, enroll in obedience training and help him become the best companion! Bingo is quite energetic and loves to chase all things so a fenced yard would be ideal and another dog in the home that is young, active and can teach him play manners and etiquette would be great for him too. Normal 'household' things like stairs, walking on a leash are also new to him and being worked on in his foster home as well.  We recommend training for all our puppies! **Breed or size (once fully grown) is a 'best guess' and is not guaranteed since they arrived into rescue without either parent. **Magnificent Mutts is an all foster home based rescue and meets are held by appointment with the entire family in attendance. Story
Kora - Female Mountain/Pitt (pocket) Mix (BREED IS STRICTLY BEST GUESS ONLY) Date of Birth. 4/30/2024 Weight 35lbs FENCED IN YARD RECOMMENDED Meet Kora. Poor baby didn’t have a great start in life. We believe her original owner dumped her at the shelter (claimed she was a stray) in horrific condition. Her skin was riddled with demadex mange and she was very frightful. Luckily the angels at the shelter treated her mange and gave her much needed assurance that all humans aren’t bad. She was lucky enough a wonderful foster stepped up, and she got on the freedom ride transport to Illinois and is now looking for her forever home. Here’s a bio from her foster mom. She’s great with other dogs, very sweet and cuddles, (she’s shy to start but warms up quickly) she’s about 100% house broken, (we have only had two accidents with her) She can get startled by new things or noises since she’s never been in a real home, but she’s getting more and more comfortable everyday. We are working on recall, she does well with correction noises when she has something she should not. She is great about sharing toys and Nyla bones… very food motivated, which is making training easier. She’s crate trained (doesn’t mind the crate) and doing very well learning to walk on a leash. If Kora seems like a perfect fit and you have patience to show her the world is not as scary as she thinks, please visit the rescue website www.foreverhomedogrescueil.org for requirements, process and applications. WE DO NOT DO OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS Thank you for considering the adoption of one of our rescue dogs. We are committed to finding our rescues the perfect home. Together we can make a difference in the life of a dog. The adoption process should be a fun and exciting time for families and dogs. Our goal is to place our babies in forever homes. The potential adopter needs to be dedicated to their care and training for life. Understand that sharing your life with a dog can be a commitment of 15+ years. This would include feeding, exercise, training, vetting, and providing a loving home. Ask yourself, "Am I ready for this type of commitment?" If you are ready, we are here to help. We do have some requirements to help us find the perfect placement of our babies. WE ARE A FOSTER BASED RESCUE ONLY. WE DO NOT HAVE A PHYSICAL BUILDING 1. Apply online at https://www.foreverhomedogrescueil.org We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family (including other dogs) to approve an adoption. Only a final approval for adoption can take place after a successful meet and greet. This is done by appointments only. We will not proceed with the adoption if everyone has not met the dog. This will allow others the opportunity to adopt the dog. 2. Adopters MUST be 25 years old. Information on all adults/members living in the home is required We REQUIRE you to provide proof and vet reference that all current and past pets have been kept up to date on all routine medical. 3. Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spayed/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, 4. If you do not own your home, you must provide landlord contact information on the application and a copy of your lease that outlines the rules for dog ownership in your residence. Large breed dogs will not be adopted into apartment settings or where there are breed/ size restrictions. Puppies have special needs and require a home where someone is available to care for, socialize, and give basic training. If you are gone for more than a couple hours at a time, please consider adopting a teen or older dog. 5. Adoption fees are $425.00. We accept Zelle, Cash or Checks. (Prices are subject to change without notice). 6. All dogs and puppies adopted through Forever Home are fully vetted with age appropriate vaccines. Keep in mind once you take possession of your newly adopted dog, any and all future medical costs or care is YOUR responsibility. 7. First time puppy/dog adopters will be required to sign up for and pay in advance a basic training class. A deposit of an extra 50.00 will be required until a class has been completed, it will then be returned. 8. WE DO NOT DO OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS Medical included is as follows: Spay/Neuter (age appropriate) *Forever Home uses Fox Valley Animal Welfare League in Aurora, IL Age appropriate core vaccines Fecal testing and deworming Flea and tick preventative Free 1st Vet visit at one of our participating vets Microchipping Forever Home Dog Rescue reserves the right to deny any applicant.

Story
Cooper is a 5 year old cuddle bug, he loves curling up with you on the couch. He has quite a bit of energy and would do best in a home with a yard he can run around in. He loves walks and play time. We adopted cooper about 6 months ago, when we adopted him they thought he was good with cats, but as we have tried to introduce him to our cats he is not a fan. We love cooper so much and he deserves a good home with loving people. Cooper know basic commands (sit, stay, down) and is making progress with his recall. He is not a fan of other dogs and can be reactive on walks but he is making progress when it comes to ignoring them.

Story
This girl was found as a stray and her owners refused to come pick her up so she is in search of another home. She is a sweet lady, a bit shy, but friendly. She is out of any puppy energy phase but does still like to play and she does get the zoomies. She was house-trained so would need to relearn it. She does well in a car and is okay on a leash. She does not get along with smaller dogs and probably not a fan of cats. She will need time to warm up to a person but is just a sweetheart when she knows you! She would be wonderful as a walking companion and lounge buddy. She is in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.

Story
Dixie is currently in foster care at a rescue in Oklahoma. We are looking for a home in a state where people treat their animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport near one of the cities listed at the bottom. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Dixie is a female, possibly Catahoula/Lab mix, and her teeth look like she just turned a year old. -Was a stray that was running the local highway -Gets along well with other dogs -Very friendly, loves attention. Likes to sit at your feet and get pets. Her video shows how loving she is within 5 minutes of meeting our picture/video volunteer. -We think she would do great with kids -Walks well on a leash -Can test her with cats upon request -Video of Dixie: https://youtube.com/watch?v=d3iqq8Kh08c Dixie is spayed, vaccinated (Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella), has been dewormed, a negative heartworm test (January 14th), and on monthly flea/tick/HW prevention. Health certificate and exam will be performed less than 10 days prior to transport. Adoption fee is $550 total, this is including all vetting above and $250 transport cost.
