Story
My name is Bella. I am between 1-1.5 years old, I weigh 40 lbs and don't see myself growing any more. I absolutely love to run and play, I am okay being around kids although may need time to fully adjust. Other dogs are really fun to be around, but I also may need to get to know them before we play. Stranger danger! My current mom got me from Cobb County Animal Control, I was owner surrendered, and I have really enjoyed my time with her. I would prefer a household that is full of love and activities, I have mounds of energy. If you like long runs, playing outside, camping, please come meet me! You never know when you'll find your new best friend. I do have an appointment to get spayed that is all taken care of. I also will come with my crate, bed, bowls, and plenty of toys and treats.

Story
Maisey is smart as a whip and super affectionate. Highly trainable and eager to please her people. She would thrive in a home where she could have a lot of attention and cuddles. She has a high prey drive (watch out, rodents & squirrels), which also means she doesn’t do well in dog parks. With the right introduction, she would do well with another dog - she just needs to know her place in the pack. I would not recommend a family with younger children. She is crate trained and knows all basic commands (sit, stay, place, come, she waits for an “okay!” to eat) and she loves playing obedience games. She walks well on a leash but can be triggered by overly aggressive dogs. We adopted her as a puppy from the Nashville humane society in 2018.

Meet Borsalina: A very sweet high energy Mountain Cur Mix, but not the hyper that tears up your house. I would say its more excitement level. Once he gets his energy out he is a great house doggie! A fenced in yard and a doggie friend would be ideal for him. He was going to training once a week before joining us. He know how to sit and speak, loves the sand so he would enjoy some beach trips with his forever family.November 17, 2024, 6:19 pm

Story
I found him in the woods chained to a tree with a padlock on his neck. I was at work when I found him so he went to animal control. I adopted him to foster him while I looked for a family because he deserves better than the animal control facility. He is a sweet, energetic, loving boy who likes to cuddle. I would love to keep him, but I have two big dogs and a cat already. He gets along great with all of them. He plays well with my young niece and nephew. He is house trained and knows sit, stay and down. The vet thinks he is around 6 months and a mountain cur mix. I had him fixed and he is up to date on shots.

Story
Meet Jake Jake is a handsome young mountain cur / retriever mix. Sadly, our Jake has been with us over a year now, which is way too long! Jake LOVES people. He is happiest when he can be with them. His eyes shine and he smiles. His body gets all wiggly in anticipation of pets or a game of fetch. This little guy is incredibly sweet and affectionate. Jake has a beautiful soft coat. He’s a medium size dog, currently weighing 50 pounds. He walks well on a leash. He loves playing in the yards and a containment fence will be important for him. He loves retrieving a tennis ball and would play all day if he could. He is energetic and is eager to be out and about hiking, walking, running or riding in a car. That said he has a calm and mindful demeanor. He is a super smart. He knows some basic commands and we think he is house-trained. Jake is looking for his special person or family to bond with. This young handsome doggo is amazing and deserves a second chance at a loving life. Jake will thrive in a home environment. The quiet and consistency of a real home will do wonders for him. Jake does not like other dogs or kitties though, so will need to be an only pet. If interested in Jake, please submit a dog application online at www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org Please call our shelter at 706-865-4135 or email us at smithgallhumanesociety@windstream.net to let us know to be on the lookout.
