Meet Pickett with a great big smile, and you're sure to get one right back from him! This energetic, explorative boy is just over a year old, so very much still a puppy. Pickett loves to sniff, hear and see the world! But call his name and he comes right back. He's intrigued by other dogs, but we're still figuring out what the best household situation would be for him. He knows how to sit, but is learning his manners. He is also new to toys. So much to learn, and so much love to give! He is treat motivated, and is working on the down position well! Note from a volunteer: "Pickett , another smart cookie, Favorite 💋 this handsome boy will do just about anything for a treat ( commands , any pose for a photo) he is incredibly smart and exceptionyimproved on leash walks."

Hello! I’m Paperkia- my littermates and I were turned into a county animal services as an unwanted litter. Thankfully, the kind people hear at Guardians saw us and brought us to stay with them. We appear to be black mouth curs, maybe mixed with a small shepherd? We are very friendly and get along great with other dogs. The rescue estimates we will be maybe 50lbs when full grown.
