My mama Crystal and siblings were rescued by Seminole Animal Services in rough condition out in the middle of nowhere when I was just 4-5 weeks old. They brought us to Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue where we received all of the care that we desperately needed. I've watched my mama and my siblings all go home and even though I'm a beautiful, sweet boy, I'm still here waiting for my family to find me. I don't know why I've been overlooked, but I know there are so many good dogs in need of a home. I've been waiting a long time though! I'm a good boy, just a little shy at first; I am looking for someone who will have some patience in the beginning and help me get acclimated to my new environment. Like all good pups, I will need basic training to understand what is expected of me. I look like a brindle mountain cur or plott hound mix and my mama looks like a white lab/husky mix. I'm around a year old now in mid-November. My $100 adoption fee has been fully sponsored. I am current on vetting, vaccines, deworming, microchip, heartworm test and neuter, all already done. Story
Zella is an amazing dog but she doesn't get along with other animals and will show aggression towards them. She guards food and toys so should be adopted by someone without any other pets. We need to share that she recently got into a fight with our small terrier over food as we sheltered at a hotel for the recent hurricane hence the reason we are trying to find her a new home where she can be the focus of all attention and loved. She has been amazing around our grandchildren and this is one of the hardest things we have ever had to do. Zella loves to play catch especially in the pool and likes to sleep in our bed. We love her tremendously and want nothing more than to find her a home where she will thrive and be loved every day. She was originally rescued by our daughter when she was 6 months old with no history known. She is approxinately 9 years old.

Hi I'm Buck! I landed in a county shelter at 9 years old and in very poor physical condition. I was malnourished and missing most of my fur and had lost all hope that I would be a happy, loved dog in my golden years. I was pulled by Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue where I received all of the medical and general care I needed over several months to be healthy and happy again though! I'm a big friendly guy estimated around 70 lbs. I'm a very sweet dog with humans and other dogs at the rescue, but a meet and greet would be best with any family dogs in the home. I walk on a leash just fine and overall am a very good boy! My rescue sees Plott Hound and Catahoula in me (best guess).My $100 adoption fee includes vet check, up to date vaccines, neuter, deworming, microchip and heartworm test (negative). I'm around 7-8 years old and instead of enjoying my older years with a family, I found myself all alone and pregnant, trying to survive out in the Everglades. I was sick and very malnourished/underweight; I honestly didn’t know how I was going to take care of my babies once they were born. I finally decided I had to trust these nice people who had started bringing me food… they brought me to Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue who immediately gave me a clean place inside to sleep, proper medical care and healthy food. Three days later, I gave birth to my 4 beautiful babies- 3 boys and 1 girl!Now that my puppies are grown and adopted and I'm healthy and happy, I'm hoping to find my own forever family. I am a calm and gentle girl who loves going for walks and just sitting and relaxing with the volunteers. I am fine with most dogs that are relaxed and chill like I am; high-energy dogs not so much. I like to keep my space clean; I am housebroken as long as I am taken out at least a few times a day. I look like a Plott Hound/Dutch Shepherd mix and have beautiful brindle coloring.Snicker’s adoption fee is fully covered! My coat has darkened in the Florida sun, but I am very much a Catahoula, I have the high energy and big personality to match it. At only 5 years old, I have spent over a year and a half in the shelter system, no one seems to truly understand and get me.
