Story
Meet Sophia, a sweet 7 month old spayed female cur/hound mix, currently weighing about 40 lbs. She has a beautiful brindle and white coat, with spots on her legs. Sophia and her brother Boxy were sadly abandoned in TN. They can both be a bit shy and take a little while to warm up to new people, but they are very sweet dogs! Sophia is good with other dogs, cats, people, and kids. She is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. She is working on leash training.  From Sophia's current foster:  “Sophia - low energy in the house but as soon as she goes out with other dogs, she’s a playful puppy. Loves being with other dogs, her whole demeanor changes! Sleeps like a rock at night - her favorite position for sleeping is on her back. If someone is looking for a companion for their dog, Sophia would be perfect - just enough play and energy for any dog.  When she first arrived, I had to carry her out of her transport and whenever she went outside. Doesn’t like to be rushed but always gets there with gentle prodding. Want a couch potato who will be a great companion for your younger or older dog, Sophia is the one. Her personality is typical hound, aloof and low key til it’s time to play. No problem with my cat - absolutely no interest.” Apply to meet Sophia today! NOTE - all of our dogs come with a certificate of health from state of origin (TN) and from Connecticut per the 2024 CT Dept of Agriculture laws for rescue dogs. Our dogs are healthy, fully vetted, and in loving foster homes where they are socialized, housebroken and taught good house manners.  ##2055228##

Story
Asha’s owners loved her but had a farm, and she had a taste for the owner's chickens and chose to surrender her. Asha is high-energy and loves to play, but also loves her snuggles and being with people. She has tested well with dogs, but due to her prey drive towards chickens, we are hesitant to suggest a home with small animals/cats. Asha is heartworm-negative, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready for her new home. This furbaby is located at Animal Harbor in southern middle TN. You can apply at www.animalharbor.org If approved, we will facilitate a virtual meet and greet and answer any questions you may have. We partner with the awesome transport service company Rescue Riders to safely and professionally move our animals to their loving new homes

Story
This girl was found as a stray and her owners refused to come pick her up so she is in search of another home. She is a sweet lady, a bit shy, but friendly. She is out of any puppy energy phase but does still like to play and she does get the zoomies. She was house-trained so would need to relearn it. She does well in a car and is okay on a leash. She does not get along with smaller dogs and probably not a fan of cats. She will need time to warm up to a person but is just a sweetheart when she knows you! She would be wonderful as a walking companion and lounge buddy. She is in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.

Story
Please take the opportunity to meet this 1 year-old mountain cur mix ready to spring into action and right into your heart. There is never a dull moment when you have Larry around. He is a perfect medium sized dog, weighing around 51 pounds. The fun does not stop there. Larry is a really cool dude and does well with other dogs and enjoys children too. He has some spunk with his medium/high energy, and he completely enjoys playtime with other dogs. Since coming into rescue, Larry has not had the opportunity to be introduced to cats. He will benefit from a family that will devote their time and energy in providing Larry with steady exercise, continued training and lots of socialization. There are many great things ahead for Larry and he is ready to embrace all the experiences that go hand in hand with having a loving and devoted family. He is stepping up to the plate and has started working on his crate and leash training. He knows that victory is around the corner and each day he will practice with the help of his family. He is treat motivated so that will be a useful tool in assisting with positive reinforcement training. His hard work has already paid off for him because he has mastered his house training.Great ready to have the ideal canine pal as a loving addition to your family. There are so many things for Larry to enjoy and look forward to. He can envision the perks of family outings, hiking adventures or just regular play sessions that will span over the years. Story
Sheldon is a 1 year old male Mountain Cur mix who weighs around 70 lbs. He is a very shy and timid pup around new people but once he starts to trust and know you, he is super sweet. He has turned into the happiest, loving pup after being around other dogs at our facility and our volunteers! Now that he’s in foster, Sheldon enjoys his playtime but also equally enjoys downtime resting on the couch. He’s a gentle pup who just loves to be close to you and get all the love and affection he deserves. Sheldon would do best in a home with children over the age of 12 given his shy demeanor. Sheldon is neutered, fully vetted, heartworm negative and microchipped. If you’re interested in adopting, please fill out an application at https://packleadersrescue.com/adoption-application/

Story
Meet Speckle, a super sweet 1 year old spayed female Catahoula/terrier mix! She weighs about 40 lbs and is full grown. She was very underweight when she was picked up as a stray in east TN and taken into rescue, she has gained some weight but still needs to put on a little more. She has a beautiful red merle coat and light green eyes. Photos do not do this girl justice!  Speckle is shy and nervous at first, but she warms up with some patience (and some treats) and is very friendly and loving once she knows she can trust you! This sweet girl has a youthful spirit and is happy and playful! Speckle is good with other dogs, people, and older kids 8+ (because she is young and exuberant and may unintentionally knock over a small child). She has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how she would do with cats. From Speckle's current foster: "Speckle enjoys playing with other dogs, but she also enjoys being with humans and would love to hang all day with them if she could. She has a happy energy level, but not out of control. She loves to give hugs, sleeps through the night, and hasn't had any accidents in the house. She is the sweetest girl with golden eyes." Speckle medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet this sweetheart today!  ##2172227##
