Kayce is a very sweet, 4.5 month old, male pittie mix. He’s joined MHCR from a very small, high kill shelter in an under served area in Texas. He and his siblings were facing euthanasia due to lack of staffing at their shelter when a local rescue came in to help network them. Kayce is the big, lovable, teddy bear of the group. He’s everyone’s favorite friend. He’s confident but not cocky, outgoing, and so snuggly. Kayce is in foster in Mead, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/kayce You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.

Story
Introducing the gentle and affectionate Tallulah, a lovable dog seeking her forever home! This endearing pup adores belly rubs, making new friends on walks, giving hugs to her favorite humans, and snuggling for hours on end. Although she cherishes her cozy naps, Tallulah is a dream walking companion – always eager to be right by your side, her excitement barely contained as she wiggles with joy. Throughout your walks, Tallulah will gaze up at you, seeking praise and affection, while occasionally needing a gentle nudge to resist the allure of squirrels or geese. Although she's still discovering the joy of playing with toys, her playful spirit shines through as she frolics in the snow. Already perfectly house-trained and a fantastic walker, Tallulah's ideal family would provide plenty of time for long naps, belly rubs, and leisurely walks. She dreams of a home where she can be surrounded by kindness, belly rubs, cozy blankets, and exciting adventures. She does take a little bit of time to warm up to new people, so patience is a must! Tallulah would thrive in a home without small children, as they can overwhelm her. Her perfect environment includes a backyard, a furry sibling to play with, and an abundance of love. Don't miss your chance to welcome this sweet and gentle soul into your life – she's the loving companion you've been waiting for!November 5, 2024, 1:55 pm

Story
Say Howdy to Daryl and Jessie! Their owner had to surrender them after an unexpected medical condition left him unable to care for them.  This bonded pair are only a year apart, and have been raised together since puppyhood so we really want to keep them together! He’s a little bit country and she’s a little bit rock-n-roll, but they go together like peas and carrots!  Daryl is a laid-back, handsome brindle with a sweet, calm demeanor, and gives the best dog hugs ever! The true hound that he is, he loves long walks with his nose to the ground or in the air to make sure those pesky squirrels stay up in the trees.  But don’t let him fool you, he has a funny, mischievous side as well.  If his nose can reach it, his mouth can eat it, but only when you’re not looking.   While Daryl is happy moseying along, Jessie’s ready to put the pedal to the metal.   She puts the “sass” in sassafras!   When this girl gets excited, clear the floor, ‘cause she likes to dance like no one’s watching!  This little fashionista somehow matched her eyes to her coat, she’s a real beauty!  But there’s nothing she loves more than snuggling up with you on the couch.  That is, once you move her over an inch and squeeze in beside her.  She’s not giving up her spot easily! They may be polar opposites, but they agree that they are looking for somebody with a lot of love to give…and treats(bones)…and cuddles…and belly/butt rubs and, oh yeah, a big yard would be great because, well, they’re not the best on leash, but they’re getting better!   December 2, 2024, 4:04 pm
