Story
Notes from his foster: Aspen has been one of our sweetest and easiest fosters! He is an easygoing dog with low to medium energy who loves to be with his people, whether it's lounging around the house or going out on an adventure. He loves walks, is great on a leash, and is also doing extremely well with his off-leash training. Aspen is looking for an owner who would love to bring him along on outings so he won't be home alone for long periods. As a sweet, smart, and sensitive soul, he's looking for someone who will offer him gentle guidance and direction through positive reinforcement.

Story
Lexi is an awesome dog! She is super friendly, and loyal, bonding quickly to her people. She loves to play a game of fetch, and looks to her people to learn, play, engage and have FUN! Lexi does well with her commands such as sit, lay down, take it and drop it. Because she is a high energy dog she would do best in an active household who have experience with large dogs (she weighs ~55+lbs). She is quite food motivated, so having treats on you would be great, she also loves to learn. SHe is a great hiking, jogging or running partner! Lexi resides with a playmate at our Sanctuary and they come out to go on runs with the side-by-side buggy, she LOVES IT! And there is nothing better than a romp at the creek or at least a dip in the trough/pool! Lexi is a playgirl and a tomboy, she loves affection, playing with people and dogs, loves toys, and being an important part of her people's lives! Lexii loves being the center of attention, and so may be easiest as an only dog in the home, but for dog savvy folks, who engage in training and creating boundaries where needed she can co-house. She is currently taking a break at the Milo Sanctuary and living with three other dogs - happily! She has a beautiful golden, brindle coat and is a nice size, lean and athletic, perfect for wide open spaces and running. ADOPTION FEE: $550

Story
Pepe has been thriving in a loving foster home, here's what his foster family had to say about his stay with them: Pepe has been so much fun to have with us. He is sweet and clever and eager to learn. He is a very good boy in a household with kids. He is gentle and sweet with our 9 and 11 year-olds. He loves to sit on their laps and he loves to sleep with the kids. He is completely house trained and stays inside without need for a potty break all night. He is very quiet, not a barker at all. He likes to chew, so you will need plenty of chews and toys for him. Pepe knows to 'sit', 'stay' or 'wait', 'come' and 'drop-it'. He is very sweet-natured and he wants to please his people more than anything else. Pepe likes to be with people or other dogs. He is very playful with our dogs and he even played nicely with our neighbor's small dog. He loves walking and walks well on leash. We have not had the chance to take him off leash but he is a quick learner and I am sure he would learn how to run or hike along with you on the trails. He is an all around great guy who would be so happy to have an active forever home. If Pepe sounds like your guy, apply today to meet him!

Story
Amaya is a sweet, attentive girl who came to us from the Stanislaus County Shelter where she had run out of time. She's friendly and affectionate, great at giving hugs and kisses both on your hands and/or your face if you'll let her. She seems to know 'shake' and while she can be a bit mouthy, it's always very gentle and comes from a place of play. Immediately upon arriving she took to a couple squeaky chew toys, so she'd love to have access to toys and play time. Amaya needs some patience as she gets used to living in a home, learning the appropriate place to go potty, and what's expected of her. But a little work on socialization, acclimatizing her to the human world, and plenty of mental and physical stimulation and she'll be a loving and energetic family member!
