Story
#A5660595 Meet Vixen , a feisty Mountain Cur mix who truly lives up to her name! Full of spirit and typical puppy energy, Vixen is still growing into her adorably oversized "cupcake" paws and those huge, perky ears that are always eager to take direction. She’s incredibly intelligent, a total smart cookie, already learning basic commands like sit, and truly loves to please – a perfect fit for someone ready to guide her and grow together. Vixen will thrive in a home with consistent structure and would also benefit from having an older pup to show her the ropes, making her the ideal puppy sister for a multi-dog household. She’s still working on the puppy basics and can be a bit mouthy (as is typical for puppies), so sturdy chew toys will be a must! With the right love, care, and guidance, Vixen will grow into a loyal and loving companion that will bring you a lifetime of joy and satisfaction!  Estimated 6 month old brown brindle German Shepherd/Lab mix  39.5 pound spayed female - but will likely get a bit bigger! May need some standard shots and preventatives before you can take her home - this is easy to do through the shelter! Came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 10/29/24 as a stray Feisty and full of spirit, typical puppy energy given her age, still growing into her adorably oversized cupcake paws  huge perky ears, eager to take direction from you - seeks out a leader to follow and please needs to be in on the action, would make a wonderful working dog super intelligent, a total smart cookie - already learning basic commands like sit corrects nicely both from human direction and with other dogs  needs consistent structure  would benefit from having an older dog's guidance - the perfect puppy sister to add to a multi-dog household  needs all the puppy training basics, but you''l be rewarded with a lifetime of loyal and loving companionship can be a bit mouthy like puppies normally are - needs some sturdy chew toys   VIXEN’S VIDEO: https://youtube.com/shorts/u0FTqkL340M For more information, contact volunteer Lor at  lor@unitedhopeforanimals.org ------- United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals.  This pet is part of our Shelter Support Program at the Baldwin Park Shelter. You can meet your New Best Friend at an Adoption Event near you! Check our events calendar to see the upcoming event dates: https://amazingdogsrescue.org/events All our rescue doggies come with their health record and have received all necessary medical care, which includes (but is not limited to) all vaccines, de-wormer, anti-flea/tick medication, microchip and of course spay/neuter surgery. Our adoption fee is $500. Only in California, the fee for puppies under a year old is $600. Story
This is a courtesy post on behalf of our partners at Maui Humane Society. Tootsie is available for adoption and can fly ANYWHERE Hawaiian or Alaska Airlines flies. If you are interested in adopting Tootsie, please contact us and we will put you in touch with the appropriate contacts at Maui Humane! Tootsie's story breaks our hearts. We had the pleasure of meeting this sweet girl when we were on Maui in August. She arrived at the humane society there on March 6th starving AND with 3 bullets in her head. Yes, you read that right. Some absolute monster of a human shot this angel in the head 3 times. Just devastating. The amazing staff at Maui Humane nursed her back to health, but sadly she is now at risk because she is not doing well in the shelter environment. After all she’s been through, this cannot be how her story ends! Tootsie is 3.5 years old, weighs 48lbs, and appears to be a Plott hound/terrier mix. She is reportedly housebroken and good with kids. She walks well on a leash and is very treat motivated. She can be dog selective, so she would do best as an only pup. She can also be a bit shy at first (who can blame her given what she’s been through?), so a patient, loving, committed home is a must for her. If you want to be Tootsie’s hero, please reach out to Maui Humane Society TODAY! And if you can’t give Tootsie a home, please share her far and wide. Like we said, she can get adopted anywhere Alaska/Hawaiian Airlines flies, so please share her with everyone you know regardless of where they live! Mahalo!!!
