Story
Meet Frijol – Your New Best Buddy! Hi there, I’m Frijol! Whether you’re looking for a hiking partner, a loyal shadow, or a TV snuggle buddy, I’m your guy. I’m an 8-year-old English Pointer who’s ready to fill your life with love and companionship. I’m a social butterfly who gets along with just about everyone—men, women, kids, dogs, and even cats! I’ve been hanging out at the dog park with my foster brother, where I love meeting new friends while keeping a close eye on my foster mom. When I first arrived at my foster home, I was a little stiff and out of shape, but with regular exercise, some dental work, and a healthier diet, I’ve dropped a few pounds and rediscovered my bounce! Now I’m prancing around like a pup half my age, ready to explore the world with my forever family. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion, I’m ready to be your best-ever buddy. Let’s make some memories together! 🐾 *****Please email adopt@valleydogs.org for an adoption application.

Story
Meet Dale! He was hit by a car over two plus years ago.  The vet said the outcome would’ve been better for him if he was treated asap once he was hit. Dale injured his spine when he was hit by a car in Costa Rica.  He was living on the farm in Costa Rica with lots of other dogs.  A few months before coming to the US he lived at home with a vet in order to get laser therapy more frequent, which were continuing here along with acupuncture.  Long term we hope he improves with continued physical therapy but it’s not a guaranteed due to how long ago his injury to was. He gets around great in a wheelchair, that’s how he got the name Dale (Earnhardt). Out of the wheelchair he gets around pretty well.  He wears a belly band in the house to prevent accidents and he will use the doggie door.  Personality wise he LOVES attention from anyone who will give it to him.  He’s a huge snuggler and will follow everyone around the house, just to stay close to them.  He does great with kids and is being fostered with 12 other dogs.  He deserves a chance at a real place to call home after having such a rough start. He is 1 of 8 dogs saved from Costa Rica and we hope we can give him a second chance at a great life. He will need a home that can continue with acupuncture and laser therapy. Please fill out an application on our website so a meet/greet and home check can be arranged. His adoption fee is $250.December 31, 2024, 6:23 pm

Story
Luna is now 2 years old. I'm rehoming her because she needs alot of attention and she grew bigger than I thought she would. Also Im moving to a small house with a smaller yard. I have also found she had caused me some health issues I was not aware of before. She likes to walk and would love to have a job like a farm dog. She is a great dog but needs someone who is very active and can spend alot of time with her. Shes lives up to her breeds velcro dog so expect her to follow you around like a baby duck! Shes very smart and easy to train however she can be sassy and strong-willed. She does need more training when she walks she likes to pull especially if she sees another animal. She also is hard to pet because she loves to lick, paw, and chew. She has been socialized with other dogs, she currently lives with 2 small shih tzus. I think she would enjoy having a sibling that is her size. I hope she can find a home that actually wants and loves her.
