Story
Hi I'm Oscar! My brother Rocky and sister Missy are also here at the Ark with me. We're lucky that we have each other to play with, and we sure do love to play! But the truth is, we really all want our own home and family to grow up with. I'm shy at first because I wasn't around people much when I was little, but once I get to know you, I'm a big playful wanna-be lap dog! I just need a little time to warm up before I get my playful gear in motion. I love to spend time with the volunteers, and go for walks and play and I love meeting and playing with other dogs too! *The Adoption fee for Oscar is reduced/covered by adoption sponsorship donations When I arrived at the Ark, we played the 'guess what breed I am' game, and the most guesses were that I'm a Cur mix, but I know that's just a guess - I know what I am, I'm a Purebred Mix-Breed!! And if you don't know what a Cur is - you sure have been missing out, good thing you found me because we're awesome dogs!! Check this out (from Google): Are cur dogs good family pets? Cur: Dog Breed Characteristics & Care Their energy, intelligence, and tenacity make them loyal workers and companions, while their desire to bond with humans makes them great family dogs. **Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only. We do require a secure fenced-in yard to adopt our larger dogs. September 7, 2024, 10:05 am

I was really lucky and got spend a couple of weekends at one of the Ark volunteers home, and got to show off how well behaved I am and that I'm even housebroken already! *The Adoption fee for Rocky is reduced/covered by adoption sponsorship donations When I arrived at the Ark, we played the 'guess what breed I am' game, and the most guesses were that I'm a Cur mix, but I know that's just a guess - I know what I am, I'm a Purebred Mix-Breed!! Story
I am looking to rehome my sweet dog, Hank, He is a 10-year-old, 80-pound Catahoula Lab mix. He's an indoor pet, crate trained and outside potty trained, but unfortunately, I don't have a yard for him to run in, and we can't put up a fence here. I know he misses having room to run and chase squirrels. He's a good dog, very loved, and maybe a little spoiled. He does have some seasonal allergies and needs to eat limited ingredient dog food, and he loves his treats!! He even knows some tricks! Loves walks and car rides. He is up-to-date on his shots and recently had his teeth cleaned. He gets along with other dogs and cats. Loves People. I honestly hate to do this, but I don't have any other options.

Story
If you are looking for a cuddle buddy, Atlas is the guy for you. His unique looks and amazingly sweet and inquisitive personality are products of his rich breed mixture. Atlas (also known as "Mr. Steal Your Heart and Pillow") enjoys long walks, short car rides, exploring, cooling off in creeks, lounging around the house, playing tug, unstuffing plush toys, wrestling and playing the bitey face game with his doggy sibling, cuddling in bed, and anything else that allows him to spend time with his family. At almost 3 years old, he has outgrown most undesirable puppy behaviors, but is still an active boy who requires adequate exercise. He does well with children and other dogs. He has done well with cats! He likes to lead walks and can be overly eager to meet new dog friends, so some training in those areas is recommended. He also gets overwhelmed in busy settings and sometimes experiences stranger danger so it is advised to avoid crowded settings unless addressed by a trainer. He is overnight crate trained, but he becomes anxious when left in the crate for extended periods of time during the day so his ideal home would have a pet parent who is home for the greater part of the day. Atlas is learning how to pull carts. He is a very smart dog and seeks to please his owners. Atlas is house/potty trained, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. If you would like to meet this handsome guy and make him part of your family, please complete an application at https://forrescue.net/dog-application/

Story
Hi, I'm Daisy! I'm a young 3ish year old beauty, don't you think?! I'm happy and upbeat, I love to play and have a good time but also enjoy a nice nap in the shade. I really enjoy going on walks and spending time with my volunteer friends. I have a medium length coat, and it's pearly white after I have my bath! *The Adoption fee for Daisy is reduced/covered by adoption sponsorship donations When I arrived at the Ark, we played the 'guess what breed I am' game, and the most guesses were that I'm a Pointer/Lab mix, but I know that's just a guess - I know what I am, I'm a Purebred Mix-Breed!! **Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only.
