Story
Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 Web Site: www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thank You for your cooperation*** Please read listings fully to the end before applying for one of our beloved rescues. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes in WA state, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle, or cash. We no longer accept PayPal because of the percentage they take & their fees. The evil for these amazing souls is never ending. The precious Max, mind body & soul was being used as a breeding machine in a puppy mill in Missouri to make money off his back. The breeder called him B & H Little man Max. We are calling him Mr Max. We were able to bid on him & in fact bought him to stop having a life of misery over & over again for evil human beings to make money off him. Living his life outside in the stinking heat day after day then in the freezing cold in winter time in a metal tin can of a shed was over. His life was instantly changing in that moment & only for the better. On this day we rescued a total of 6 schnauzer breeding mum & dads who all they knew was to breed in a life of hell & then being sold. Of course when we rescue these amazing souls they have had no veterinary care whatsoever & we have to start from scratch. Now the real healing, love & devotion could begin & show Max how he is supposed to be loved & adored in a loving forever home. Max was bought back to the WA state where he now is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find his new loving devoted forever home. The horror he endured on his little body & mind all to make money off his back is so disgusting. After everything he has been through he is still a lovely soul. For everything he has been through, he adapted quite quickly to his very devoted foster home. He is beyond grateful to get out of that hell hole he was in & radiates a zest for life. Max lets you pick him up & lets you give him kisses & hugs. The reality is, the foster homes are his real first experience at being in a home, with a tv, bedding he can snuggle up in, a roof over his head that’s not outside. Max’s foster dad said. Max is such a sweetheart, after his 3rd night he was still very timid, but is warming up to us and wants to be in whatever room we are in - this morning he was waiting outside the bathroom for me. This was many weeks ago. He marked a couple of times when we first got home but other than that has been going potty, including all his poops, outside! He peps up a bit when we go outside, really likes exploring in the courtyard, and has made friends with the puppy in the building. He likes ear & butt scratches, is a little curious about toys & balls, but mostly wants to find a comfy spot to lay. This morning over the course of about 30 mins he moved from one corner of the couch to the other side to be close to Benjamin. Benjamin is his foster brother. His foster dad also said, he does not react to their virtual work meetings this morning & will definitely be a good WFH buddy or office companion for a (quiet) dog-friendly workplace.  He has continued to blossom & come out of his shell. He loves treats, has really gotten used to his potty schedule, & we have taken him to the dog park a few times & he has showed great enthusiasm running around & playing.  We would love to see him find a forever home that is the perfect fit for him. We also know that Mr Max loves his foster mum. He adores comfy beds & big comfy blankets because again the reality is, this is something he did not get to experience ever until he was rescued. He is such a gentle little soul who just wants to be loved & to make up for his past. He would still need work walking on his harness & leash as it’s all completely new to him considering he was never ever taught until coming into the rescue. In his foster home he explores the fully fenced courtyard & gets to play in. He does not discriminate against breeds. Max’s new forever home must have a fully fenced backyard. He has always been with other dogs & he adores other dogs so in his forever home another dog or dogs is mandatory in his forever home for him to have his best life. Max rides beautifully in the car & considering the only times we know of was when he went to auction to be sold & when we got him & going home with his foster family & he has done so amazing in the car. We are looking for a crate free home for this little lad only. He spent his whole life confined for breeding & runs from a crate now if he sees one. He refuses to go near it. Max as you can imagine spent such a long time in a caged environment. We are also looking for a forever home for Max where someone is home during the day or he can go with her people wherever possibly he can go with them. Max is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him & never give up on him. Max has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes in the rescue & in her foster home & she is currently with other dogs & adores other dogs. Max needs to go to a forever home with another dog or dogs in the home, he enjoys the company of other dogs & we currently have him with other dogs in his loving foster home. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take him to places where there are other dogs. That will not work, another dog or dogs is mandatory along with a fully fenced backyard. Max is roughly 14 lbs, he is 6 years old. He is a parti schnauzer, what he is mixed with we are not sure, male, he is neutered by laser by our wonderful vets. He is microchipped, had a scale & polish along with dental x-rays & had multiple teeth removed including, gum surgery as his mouth was a mess. He had 3 minor molar, 6 & 4 incisors removed. He is up to date on his shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on Max with paying for him from a puppy mill auction in Missouri. Bringing him to WA with his travel costs, his flight fees flying him to WA. All of his medical care in WA including, dental scale & polish & many extractions etc & bringing him to WA than his adoption fee comes close to covering. His adoption fee does not even come close to covering half of what we have spent on Max. Max has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had him around small children so we do not recommend small children nor cats & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Max was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Max’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Max potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Max & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on. Or you waste this rescues time, will remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit via WebEx or Zoom due to covid & followed by a meet & greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Max who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this special sweet little lad. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Max has an adoption fee of $1250 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

Look at this beauty & the horror she has endured. Soul destroying to think of what she has been through & yet she still loves human beings even after everything they have done to her. We cannot even begin to imagine what Kaisa witnessed & heard when she was at the slaughterhouse, how Kaisa ended up in a slaughterhouse for human consumption & yes you did read that correctly, we will never know? What we do know is, she was pulled out of there by our outstanding Chinese rescuer just in time. It’s absolutely soul destroying to think about the horrific situation she ended up in. Working with one of our truly devoted, dedicated & absolutely outstanding Chinese rescuers she rescued Kaisa & many others for us. Without this beloved rescuer going in & getting Kaisa out, her fate was a torturous death. She transferred Kaisa to her own rescue & covid had hit & the waiting began. Along with Kaisa & many other sweet souls she got well & they waited to come to the US. This became a very extremely expensive situation with covid. We were finally able to bring everyone back through cargo which is an astronomical expense per dog, but we believe every sweet soul such as Kaisa & her & friends deserves to be loved & cherished & given the chance to have a wonderful life. On top of this wait, we had to wait an extra 9 months to bring these babies. They were supposed to arrive in October 2022. Now Kaisa is looking for a special family to cherish her & be patient with her & remember what this beautiful soul has been through & a family that meets all her needs. Kaisa was rescued by our truly amazing Chinese rescue friends & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Chinese rescue who we are so extremely thankful for what they do day in & day out for these babies, we cannot thank them enough. Kaisa was bought back to the USA where she is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. This girl is so stunning inside & out & she has come along way since she arrived from China. The reality is she had to learn everything new here. We put her into a daycare & tested her with countless dogs & she has done amazing. She loves both woman & men. This girl is the biggest sweetheart you will ever meet. She is so forgiving. She just wants you to love her & she will love you back. She adores being hugged & held because the reality is we are the first real people in her life to show her such true love & affection. When she arrived she was absolutely putrid, it’s so sad with how stinking filthy she was. She was a little uncertain with her baths at first but once she realized everything was ok she really enjoyed them & did good being dried with the hairdryer. She is now used to be groomed also. Kaisa is still learning to walk on harness & leash considering we believe we are the first people to teach her how to go on walks but would still need to be taught. Kaisa has been taught to walk on a slip lead. Kaisa is a rescue & will need patience, time & understanding. Kaisa adores being pampered & doesn’t want you to stop when brushing her, cleaning her eyes, grooming her, she loves it all. She also does extremely well being touched in general & adores receiving love. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Kaisa & we have been excited to change her world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. She likes laying on you when she is with you or on comfy blankets. Kaisa has learnt to ride in the car & does well in the car & enjoys a good car ride. She is such an easy & sweet going, loving little lady. With Kaisa we are only looking for a crate free home for this lovely little lady only. Please do not apply with the intent to crate this girl. We are also looking for a forever home for Kaisa where someone is home during the day or she can go with her people wherever possibly he can go with them. He had gum surgery & 1 minor premolars, 1 incisor & 3 intermediate removed. She had a mammory mas tested with a biopsy but what was underneath was a hernia that was repaired. She is microchipped, up to date on her shot rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on Kaisa with bringing her to the US with her travel airfare costs, $2200 alone, bringing her through NY into Seattle, without anything else then on top of that paying for her medical care & boarding fees, including a dental/scale & polish, shots, microchip etc, than her adoption fee comes close to covering. Kaisa has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals. We have spent far more on Pari with bringing her to the US with her travel airfare costs, $2200 alone, bringing her through NY into Seattle, without anything else then on top of that paying for her medical care & boarding fees, including a dental/scale & polish, shots, microchip etc, than her adoption fee comes close to covering. Pari has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals. We have have not had Kaisa with small children so we do not recommend children, but it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & animals. We were not there when Pari was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues & Pari’s friends she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Pari potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Pari & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit using Webex due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Pari who understands her needs & that meet all the requirements for this lovely little lady. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Pari has an adoption fee of $1250 & is ready for her truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what she has been through.

It’s absolutely shocking & disturbing what these dogs endure but they fight for their lives. Soul destroying to think of what he has been through & yet he still loves human beings even after everything they have done to him. We cannot even begin to imagine what Tim witnessed & heard when he was at the slaughterhouse, how Tim ended up in a slaughterhouse for human consumption & yes you did read that correctly, we will never know? What we do know is, he was pulled out of there by our outstanding Chinese rescuer just in time. It’s absolutely soul destroying to think about the horrific situation he ended up in. Working with one of our truly devoted, dedicated & absolutely outstanding Chinese rescuers she rescued Tim & many others for us. Without this beloved rescuer going in & getting Tim out, his fate was a torturous death. She transferred Tim to her own rescue & covid had hit & the waiting began. Along with Tim & many other sweet souls she got well & they waited to come to the US. This became a very extremely expensive situation with covid. We were finally able to bring everyone back through cargo which is an astronomical expense per dog, but we believe every sweet soul such as Tim & his & friends deserves to be loved & cherished & given the chance to have a wonderful life. On top of this wait, we had to wait an extra 9 months to bring these babies. They were supposed to arrive in October 2022 but arrived in 2023. Now Tim is looking for a special family to cherish him & be patient with him & remember what this beautiful soul has been through & a family that meets all his needs. Tim was rescued by our truly amazing Chinese rescue friends & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Chinese rescue who we are so extremely thankful for what they do day in & day out for these babies, we cannot thank them enough. Tim was bought back to the USA where he is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find his new loving devoted forever home. This boy is the biggest sweetheart you will ever meet. He just wants you to love him & he will love you back. He adores being hugged & held because the reality is we are the first real people in his life to show him such true love & affection. When he finds people who love him they become his world. He is a cheeky schnauzer his foster mum said with a huge personality & so joyous. He eats a clean diet meaning raw fruits, vegetables, proteins, grains & supplements. He also enjoys collagen sticks & bully sticks. When he arrived he was absolutely putrid, it’s so sad with how stinking filthy he was. He was a little uncertain with his baths at first but once he realized everything was ok he really enjoyed them & did good being dried with the hairdryer. Tim has not been taught to walk on harness & leash considering we believe we are the first people to teach him. He would need continued work walking on his harness & leash. Tim is a rescue & will need patience, time & understanding. Tim adores being pampered & doesn’t want you to stop when brushing him, cleaning his eyes, grooming him, he loves it all. He also does extremely well being touched in general & adores receiving love. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Tim & we have been excited to change his world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. So far he has shown no interest in toys in his foster home. He likes laying on you when he is with you or on comfy blankets. Tim has learnt to ride in the car & does well in the car & enjoys a good car ride. He is such an amazing, loving little lad. With Tim we are only looking for a crate free home for this lovely little lad only. Please do not apply with the intent to crate this boy. We are also looking for a forever home for Tim where someone is home during the day or Tim can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. Did we mention this boy loves a good outfit too. Tim is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be very patient with him & understanding. Tim has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & enjoys their company. He can be found at times snuggled up to his foster siblings. A fully fenced backyard is mandatory for Tim’s new forever home if it’s a free standing home. Tim is now roughly 15 lbs & is 4 years old & a miniture schnauzer & what he is mixed with we are not sure? He is neutered & male, he will be receiving a dental scale & polish before his adoption. He is microchipped, up to date on his shots including DHPP, Bordatella, rabies & dewormed. Story
Welcome Dooby to CCPAL Rescue. Dooby is a Schnauzer/Scruffy Terrier mix boy. He is about 1.5 years old. He weighs about 12 pounds. He likes being held and is a little shy. This boy had a very terrible person for his owner. She was a sexual deviant and he and the other dogs in this house were abused by this person. A good Samaritan stepped in and took all the dogs. Dooby was with foster care until she called CCPAL and we took them into the Rescue. He is a little shy and when he is scared, wants to retreat. He has a nice non-shedding coat and he is good with other dogs. He and the others in this group really are doing well and are responding to loving and very normal attention at the Rescue. They are fitting in well with routines and the schedules at the Rescue. The dogs will get daily cuddles and assurance that people are nice and most are very normal. Dooby would be great in a quieter home. I would say a retired couple or a single person wanting a rather quiet and non shedding companion animal. He will be getting his neuter soon and he has already gotten his toenails clipped and vaccinations. None of these dogs are fully potty trained but we will be working on really good schedules and crate training at the Rescue. He is currently in Texas at the CCPAL Rescue. His adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. He could be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. . Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
