Story
Welcome Polly to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 6-pound Mini Schnauzer mixed with Chihuahua. She should be 15 pounds or less full grown. Her mom looks exactly like a high mixed schnauzer. Polly is very fluffy and while he likes being held. In fact, she is less active than her brother Teddy and cuddlier. She is crate trained, good with his sibling, good in a car and uses potty pads. She isn’t overly vocal and is the next most fluffy in the litter. She is not a shedder at all that we can see. Her coat is soft and if you groomed her in a schnauzer cut, would look like a mini black schnauzer. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older, due to his small size. Puppies are best with someone not working all day every day. She needs time with her human and time to finish up her puppy training. She is small enough and social, so he would be a good one to take places with you. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 600 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See her cute video!! https://youtu.be/6tgYHIYEA4o

Basil has truly seen it all. It’s absolutely shocking & disturbing what these dogs endure but they fight for their lives. Soul destroying to think of what he has been through & yet he still loves human beings even after everything they have done to him. We cannot even begin to imagine what Kuba witnessed & heard when he was at the slaughterhouse. How Basil ended up in a slaughterhouse for human consumption & yes you did read that correctly, we will never know? What we do know is, he was pulled out of there by our outstanding Chinese rescuer just in time. Working with one of our truly devoted, dedicated & absolutely outstanding Chinese rescuers she rescued Basil & many others for us. Without this beloved rescuer going in & getting Basil out, his fate was a torturous death. We believe every sweet soul such as Basil & his friends deserves to be loved & cherished & given the chance to have a wonderful life. Now Basil is looking for a special family to cherish him & be patient with him & remember what this beautiful soul has been through & a family that meets all his needs. Basil was rescued by our truly amazing Chinese rescue friends & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Chinese rescue who we are so extremely thankful for what they do day in & day out for these babies, we cannot thank them enough. Basil was bought back to the USA where he is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find his new loving devoted forever home. This boy is the biggest sweetheart you will ever meet. He just wants you to love him & he will love you back. He adores being hugged & held because the reality is we are the first real people in his life to show him such true love & affection. When he finds people who love him they become his world. He is a cheeky schnauzer his foster mum said with a huge personality & so joyous. He loves to run & play with his foster siblings & must go to a home with another dog in the home. He loves a good outfit & will get ready for you to put one on him. Basil eats a clean diet, meaning raw fruits, raw vegetables, 70 % raw proteins, grains, fats & supplements. He also enjoys collagen sticks & bully sticks. All of his treats are homemade Basil has been taught to walk on harness & leash & has been doing wonderful. He would need continued work walking on his harness & leash. Basil is a rescue & will need patience, time & understanding. Basil adores being pampered & doesn’t want you to stop when brushing him, cleaning his eyes, grooming him, baths, the hairdryer he loves it all. He also does extremely well being touched in general & adores receiving love. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Basil & we have been excited to change his world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. So far he has started showing interest in toys in his foster home. Basil has learnt to ride in the car & does well in the car & enjoys a good car ride. He is such an amazing, loving little lad. With Basil we are only looking for a crate free home for this lovely little lad only. Please do not apply with the intent to crate this boy. He will bark his head off if you leave him in a crate. We are also looking for a forever home for Basil where someone is home during the day or Basil can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. Basil is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be very patient with him & understanding. Basil has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & enjoys their company. He can be found at times snuggled up to his foster siblings. A fully fenced backyard is mandatory for Basil’s new forever home if it’s a free standing home. Basil is now roughly 14 lbs & is 2 years old & a miniture schnauzer & what he is mixed with we are not sure? He is microchipped, up to date on his shots including DHLPP, rabies & dewormed. Once these shots expire we will not redo them except rabies as we will not over vaccinate our beloved dogs. We have spent over $2000 on Basil with bringing him to the US with his travel airfare paying for his medical care, including, shots, neuter microchip etc, than his adoption fee comes close to covering. Basil has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals. We have not had Basil with small children so we do not recommend children, but it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & animals. We were not there when Basil was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Basil’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Basil potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Basil & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit using Zoom followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Basil who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this lovely sweet boy. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. Basil has an adoption fee of $885 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

Anna has seen & witnessed evil in life. She was pulled out of a slaughterhouse with one of our other rescues Kimi while he was covered in blood & the butcher had already started chopping him up & they both were surrounded by a pile of deceased bloody dogs. We also know that they debarked her. Soul destroying to think of what she has been through & yet she still loves human beings even after everything she has seen, heard & her previous life. She will even put her paws on you for cuddles just as she cuddles into you while sleeping next to you. She radiates gratitude. She just wants you to love her & she will love you back. She adores being hugged & held because the reality is we are the first real people in her life to show her such true love & affection apart from a day or 2 at her foster home in China. She is a really smart girl too because on the day of arrival in her foster home she taught herself to run up hardwood stairs & follow her foster mum. When she finds people who love her they become his world. She is such a soft gentle schnauzer her foster mum said with a very sweet personality. She loves to run & play with her foster siblings & must go to a home with another dog who will play with her. She loves a good outfit & will get ready for you to put one on her. Story
Benny Benito has arrived with his little peppery beard, big opinions, and perfectly schnauzer-sized confidence. This adorable black-and-white salt-and-pepper mini schnauzer (we think…no guarantees) is estimated to be 4 years old, weighs 18 lbs, and is currently fostered in a loving home with a staffie friend he gets along with wonderfully. He is house trained, crate trained, easygoing in the home, and has that charming “small dog with a full legal department” personality schnauzer people know and love. Go watch Benny Benito on YouTube, then come back to read more about this little gentleman. https://youtu.be/7fucQFDNCVA Benny has met kids and did beautifully, staying unbothered by the noise, movement, hugs, and pets. He is affectionate in the best way- happy to be loved on, happy to be near his people but not clingy or pushy about it. He also loves car rides with the windows down, which feels very on-brand for a tiny bearded man who clearly believes he has places to be and a neighborhood to keep an eye on. Benny is very much a schnauzer, which means he is smart, saucy, vocal, and not afraid to express himself. He can be a bit of a freshy boy when passing other dogs and has plenty to say, so apartment life is not the best fit for him. He will do best with someone who knows and appreciates the breed, someone who understands that the spice is mild but is part of the seasoning and not a flaw. In the right home, Benny Benito is easy to love-affectionate, fun, house-ready, kid-friendly, dog-friendly, car-ride-approved, and delightfully full of himself in all the right ways. Story
Welcome Major to CCPAL Rescue. Major is a 3-month-old Shepherd/Chihuahua/Schnauzer mixed puppy. He is a black and tan and weighs 15 pounds. Our vet thinks he should be 25 pounds full grown. He is out going and sweet. He isn’t a huge shedding dog. He would be a great walking partner. He is smart, athletic and will follow direction. He has recently been delivered to a home in Washington State and he is not a fit for them. The man loves the puppy but the Mom and daughter are too kind and sweet to direct the puppy. He is playful with other dogs and was allowed lots of play time here at the rescue with puppies in his litter. He is very social and would be a great candidate for doggy daycare and he would do great in puppy classes. He was very workable and stood stil and sat willingly on the table for the photo shoot. They are all affectionate and cuddly. He is neutered and living in Washington State. Someone that doesn’t work all day every day is the best candidate for a puppy. These pups would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older as these pups are small and very trusting of everyone. His adoption fee is $500 Please fill out an application online for approval and then we will set up a meet and greet. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1869 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See his cute video!!
