For inquiries email lisak@compactcaninerescue.org Fee: $600 Location: Fairfax, VA Jasper Bells is new in rescue. He is a 3 year old miniature Schnauzer. He weighs about 18 pounds. He was rescued from a puppy mill in Pennsylvania where he was valued only for his ability to sire litters of puppies. He has never really been a "pet" before but is adapting nicely to his new environment. He is curious about the other dogs in the home and is accepting of male and female people so far. We do not know if he likes cats. We are taking is slow with Jasper. He is new to "pet life". We want to get to know him before he is adopted so we can place him in the perfect FUR-ever home. Once he is healed from his neuter and dental cleaning, he will be ready for adoption. Get your application in now! Things to consider when adopting Jasper Bells: young, energetic dog will need training for leash walking training classes highly recommended will need grooming every 4-6 weeks will need bathing between grooming appointments to maintain the coat read more about the breedhere currently house training (potty manners) former breeder dog, needs time and patience to learn to be a pet Please visit our website www.compactcaninerescue.org to learn more about this amazing pet and see other adoptable dogs.

Story
Fendi is an almost 1-year old mini schnauzer. She is really spunky and smart. She has completed basic obedience training and knows some simple commands. I am looking to rehome her because she requires a lot of attention and playtime that I am unfortunately unable to give. She was a gift to me, so I do want her to go to someone who will treat her well. She is an over all good dog, just a bit much for my plate. We have 4 kids and another dog who is older.

Story
PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - SISSY BREED - Schnoodle (schnauzer/poodle mix) SIZE - About 15 pounds AGE - 3 years GENDER - Female MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Sissy is a happy girl! She is full of life and energy and a ball of fun! She came to us recently from a NC shelter partner where she had been found as a stray. She was matted, likely from fleas and itching, but is now beautiful with almost all her hair grown back in. Sissy loves playing with toys and being with her person. She tolerates other well behaved dogs but prefers being the center of your world. Eating alone is a must and this girl can chow down! Fully grown at just 14 pounds, she is a perfect size for most homes! Sissy is in good health, spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. Sissy is best suited to a home without small children who could easily be put off by her energy. An experienced owner will patiently help her learn manners and boundaries - this girl thinks she owns the world and is in charge! We are seeking a home with an active adopter who has the ability to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time teaching this amazing dog boundaries. A home without larger pets and with a fenced, secure yard will give her room to run and play, two things she does superbly! Queen Sissy is looking forward to meeting you! Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of Sissy and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and your family with Sissy at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting her and determining that she matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
