Story
Adopt Lobo, a sweet 2-year-old, 17 lb, schnauzer/Yorkie mix. Lobo came to CAMO as an owner surrender due to housing issues, but he's ready to find his forever home. Lobo is housetrained but will need to learn your routine. He enjoys all treats. You will win his love with treats and toys. Lobo adores toys and playing. He enjoys playing with other dogs and having a blast with everyone around him. He is good with other dogs and cats with a proper introduction. Lobo does great on a harness, making him a fun and easy walking companion. He is excellent for car rides. Lobo was previously heartworm positive but was treated and has since tested negative. He received a ProHeart 12 injection and won't need to start monthly prevention until May 2025, giving his new family peace of mind. Apply to adopt the lovely Lobo at https://www.camorescue.com/adopt Adoption fee is: $150 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs. EIN # 46-5486022

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only. Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.   Bite History! (minor)Nibbles is a GREAT dog! He loves to be the BOSS DOG and is protective of his humans. He devours and loves his squeaky toys and is a lovely addition.  This little nugget did get a bit 'defensive' and bit.  We don't know what the circumstances were surrounding the bite.  The shelter reports it was  'minor' bite.  We will tell you he presented as defensive and unfriendly at our vet.  We were able to administer an anti-anxiety drug to help him deal with the stress of being poked/prodded.  He was NOT happy about it, but we were able to get him vetted! We are working on helping him to learn trust.  His adopter will need to be prepared to continue this type of counter-conditioning to help him become less reactive  and more trusting and open to love. We have been able to crate him, and he does well in a crate.  He's a great little dog who will get along with females, but is male selective.    He can (and will) climb a baby gate.  He's really very sweet and loves to be loved.  He will roll over and show you his belly.   He dislikes strangers and his family will need to give him some time to decompress and learn to trust.   PLEASE DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS DOG IF YOU HAVE OR PLAN TO GET ANOTHER MALE DOG  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 2, 2024, 3:10 pm

Story
Fumae is a great family dog. I am a veteran so he was very helpful with my needs. I am rehoming him because of my busy schedule with my children and not being able to give him the time and attention he needs. He is 13 years old, but acts like he is 6. I have had him since he was 12 weeks old so this was a difficult decision however I feel it is best for him. He is Very energetic and loving. He also has a benign tumor under his left arm that doesn’t give him any issues. Very well, taken care of schnauzer in search of a great home for my buddy.

Story
Hey there, I'm Junior! I'm only 23 pounds. I'm still a young pup, full of energy and ready to play. I love a good game of fetch, but I'm also quite the comedian. My silly antics will have you laughing out loud. I've got a heart full of love and a spirit that just won't quit. I'm sweet as can be, and I promise to shower you with kisses and tail wags. I'm just a happy, goofy guy looking for my forever family. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will bring joy and laughter into your life, then I'm your guy! I'm foster to adopt until I get neutered on the 20th. Let me know if your interested please.
