URGENT! CHECKER DESPERATELY IS STILL LOOKING FOR A HERO! COULD THAT BE YOU?! Checker was tossed out of a car in Chester Media, PA area -Mini Schnauzer mix ?! -approximately 2 years old, about 14 lbs. -playful and loves to go for walks -he loves car rides Most likely abused and neglected, Checker was seen being tossed out of a car in Chester - Please share for this poor boy! Checker is a young, playful pup. He is learning to trust humans and will seek lots of love and attention once he is comfortable. He really likes to be with his people. Checker has done well with other dogs his size that are energetic and playful and that will correct his puppy behavior. He has also done well with larger dogs that are tolerant of some of his puppy shenanigans. Checker’s ideal home is one without children and a someone who has dog experience. He does NOT share food and has bitten twice over food. This is completely manageable by feeding him alone. He is not thrilled with being crated and seems to have some trauma regarding the crate. However, he does well when he is crated next to another dog! He will bark constantly and seems scared when approached in a crate if not crated near another dog. He does well confined to a room. When confining, he needs a tall gate or door because he is a great jumper. He loves to be in bed with his people and will settle down and snooze after some goofiness, rolling around in the bed. Please let us know if an experienced foster or forever home is willing to help this sweet boy overcome his trauma and have some patience with him. Checker has a lot of love to give and needs to learn to trust and have some confidence. Please contact Christine at christine@therescueexpress.org if anyone can help. Thank you for sharing! The Rescue Express is a 501c3 non- profit rescue registered in Garnet Valley, PA. Our kennel license number is 6285.
