Story
Kona is a 9-year-old Miniature Schnauzer mix weighing only about 30 pounds. With his long white and tan coat, he's quite the handsome fellow, and he's also quite the good boy on the inside. Shy at first, he warms to friendliness quickly and, as the smart boy he is, you'll find him eager to learn. You'll love having this boy as yours, and he'll love being yours. (posted 1/27/25, ME) Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $160.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. **January 27, 2025, 12:50 pm

Story
He's small, between 13 and 15 pounds, and yet he's filled with a kind of joy you don't always see these days. And because he's so small we would prefer him to go to a family without children under 10. At 1 ½ years old, Bama is a Mini Schnauzer/Yorkie mix wearing a long and scruffy tan and white coat and looking out at you with big eyes! He's outgoing, and sweet but can also be shy when first meeting someone. What a sweetheart this boy is! Story
MEET MOE! Moe is around 14 years old and joined us after being surrendered to Philadelphia's animal control shelter because his former family could no longer care for a pet. Since leaving the shelter, Moe has received some much needed veterinary care and has had quite the glow up! Moe's foster family thought it would be fun to do a DNA test and found that he is 78% mini schnauzer, with a little chihuahua, dachshund, and pomeranian mixed in. Moe is the perfect companion for anyone seeking a sweet, snuggly friend. Moe gets along with everyone—dogs, cats, kids—he’s friendly to all! He currently shares his home with two small dogs and three cats, and he couldn’t be happier. Moe is a true people lover and will happily follow you around the house, so watch your step! Moe’s journey hasn’t been easy. He was surrendered to a local shelter due to a severe flea infestation that caused him to lose much of his fur. Thankfully, since coming to rescue, his fur is growing back beautifully, and the fleas are long gone. Moe also had an extensive dental procedure with extractions. His lab work showed mildly elevated liver levels, but an ultrasound revealed the issue to be age-related. He also has a heart murmur, but after a cardiology consult, it was determined that there is no heart enlargement, and he does not require medication at this time. Like many seniors, Moe has some arthritis, which he manages with medication. Because of this, he should avoid climbing too many stairs, but he loves to mosey around the yard and take short walks. He has the cutest little old man shuffle. His age doesn’t slow him down too much—he still enjoys being active, just at a slower pace. Moe is housetrained when kept on a schedule and wears a belly band when left alone. He’s a great sleeper, adjusting easily to changes in routine, and will peacefully sleep through the night. If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who will brighten your days with his joyful presence, Moe might be the perfect match for you! He’s ready to share his heart and spend his golden years with someone who will appreciate his gentle nature. Moe is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Interested in adopting him? Visit cityofelderlylove.org to complete an online adoption questionnaire!  PA Kennel License 12930

Story
** Current Location: in a foster home in South Korea ** • Personality: She's sociable and energetic. She adapts to new places right away and loves to reach out to new people and friends she meets. She knows how to say hello to familiar people and friends. She loves to play with other dogs and loves to play with people. She picks up on new training quickly, so we think she would make a great dog for a family with a good understanding and training knowledge of dogs. She's a bit of a sneaky prankster right now, so she can get into trouble, but she's affectionate, gentle, and full of energy. • Affinity with -Cats:She is currently living with cats in a temporary foster home. She is not aggressive with cats, but she is very interested in them, so if you have a cat that likes dogs, she would be fine. -Dogs: She is currently living with the dogs in her foster home without any issues. They play well with each other, are socialized, and warm up quickly to new dogs they meet. -Adults/Kids: She is very fond of people and loves to be petted. She warms up quickly to people she meets for the first time. • Shedding: Moderate. There is shedding in certain periods. Her fur is best brushed daily with a silicone brush. • Walking Manner: She loves to go for walks, both familiar and new, and prefers to take fast, wide, territorial walks (rather than slow, sniffing the trails). He also loves to run in the park, but will sometimes try to run outside if there is no fence. she is fast and has a lot of energy, so she loves to run around in large parks and meet people and dogs. she also loves to go for walks in the mountains, but she has a hunting instinct and is interested in small snakes, rodents, and birds. • Housetrained: She goes potty on pee pads and highly prefers to go outside. She can chew on wood and plastic furniture and will grab small items that fall on the floor and play with them. She's very playful and will run around with you if you have a like-minded friend in the house. • Separation Anxiety: She's always been around other dogs, so we can't confirm, but we think she'll be fine on her own. • Bark or Howl: She barks briefly when she hears strangers outside. There is no howl • Carsickness: She had drooling at first, but now she rides well.
