Julien is a mal e 8 mos old and 30 lb Schnauzer/Maltese/Wirehaired Terrier mix. I love people, my brother Jasper, toys, car rides, dogs etc. I am a super happy, semi energetic, very affectionate lad that likes playing with toys and hang out/chilling with my people. I am an indoor dog that will enjoy daily walks and some dog training. Courtesay post for Helotes Humane Society. L & S Dog Diggity Rescue is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 800,000 homeless pets. We save homeless and abandoned dogs and find them loving forever homes in other areas, where pet homelessness is not epidemic. All of our pets are located here, in San Antonio, and we partner with rescues to provide transportation for our pets to their new homes. Our adoption fee includes vet care (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, etc), as well as transportation and health certificate. Story
Junior is a loving boy that just wants a family that considers him to be a member of it. He is approximately 8-12 months old and weighs 21.2 lbs – he is considered full grown and is not getting any bigger. He has a soft, wirey coat with minimal shedding. We believe he has some schnauzer, potentially border terrier or some sort of the mix in him Junior was in an alley on the Texas Mexico border by a lady who feeds strays in the area – he was very lost on the streets and was quite emaciated. She asked around to neighbors and they told her that his owners moved and left him behind. We don’t know how long he was on the street for, but unfortunately this is very common for people to leave their animals behind, thinking of them as disposable. We promised Junior we would not let that happen again. At first, Junior can act a little shy. Who can blame him given the people he trusted just left him to fend for himself. After just a short time, Junior starts to come out of his shell into the sweet, active, fun-loving boy he is. Once he knows he can trust you (which doesn’t take long), he LOVES you. He loves children, especially ones that will play with him. Junior is great in a kennel – he walks right in by himself, and he feels very safe and comfortable in them. He has not had any accidents inside the home or crate – he is 100% house trained. He gets along wonderfully with small and large dogs – He LOVES other dogs. The fosters dogs and Junior can play in the yard (see video) and go for a long time. Junior is very comfortable with other dogs, and they help him come out of his shell. Junior has met outside kitties and is not interested in them. We think with proper introductions he can live in harmony with them inside. He LOVES car rides and will load up. He does wonderful on the rides and loves to look out the window. Junior is a snuggle bug when he’s not playing. He will lay at your feet or next to you on the couch, and just snuggle up and sleep. An ideal home for Junior would be one that is mildly active – he does not need lots of stimulation, but a backyard to play with toys, walks around the neighborhood and/or another dog to play with would be perfect for him. Junior is such a doll, and he loves to be held. He will bring so much happiness and love into the perfect home. To apply to adopt Junior PLEASE fill out an application at : www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org Junior is located in Texas and available for transport once adopted. We have transports that leave every 1-3 weeks, depending on location. We post animals in locations where we can transport around. Junior is neutered, heart worm negative, current on rabies vaccine, parvo/distemper vaccine, bordatella vaccine, heart worm and flea/tick prevention, dewormer, microchipped and he will have his vet issued health certificate prior to transport.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ERNIE was saved from a high kill shelter in Texas and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on Sunday, 1st September 2024. We post in east coast states and Canada as we have many families adopt and are happy to make the worthwhile trip up to the rescue. We do not always have time to post all the pictures on each dogs individual page, but we do post a lot of photo's on the rescue Facebook page. Ernie is neutered , rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped with 24PetWatch. He has an estimated date of birth of August 2019 and at the end of August weighed around 20 pounds. We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks. H e does need an active family who will ensure she gets all the exercise, both mentally and physically that she needs to live a happy fulfilling life. Ernie has an adoption fee of $550 Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue in SEBEC, Maine to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application.
