Meet Holly!This 5 month old puppy was a result of an accidental litter locally. Mom was a senior small scruffy terrier mix and dad a big goldendoodle! She's about 20lbs right now and we are guessing will top out at 30-40, probably less. She's a sweet puppy, but very shy in new situations and hasn't been out of the house much but loves other dogs and follows them. She's looking for a home with the time to train, socialize, and exercise a fun active pup and at least one other more social doggie buddy to learn from and follow. She does get car sick and hasn't been taken many places so will need to get used to car rides in a positive way and shorter trips at first. Meet Lucas! Lucas is 5 years old and 32 pounds. We aren't exactly sure what Lucas is mixed with but we think some type of Schnauzer, Terrier, Goldendoodle, whatever he is, he is sure handsome! Lucas loves to be with his person and does great with kids too. Lucas does okay with most other dogs but would probably prefer to be in a only dog home. He can be a bit vocal when left alone at first so he probably should not live in an apartment. Lucas does well in crate after a short vocal dissaproval. He has been through lots of training and knowsa leash well and all of the basic commands. Lucas had recent blood work at the vet. Interested in becoming this pup’s forever home? Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Ares, a 1.5-year-old male, has the stunning look of a mix of a Schnauzer and a Poodle. This handsome boy is an eye-catcher and his personality warms up your heart. He is affectionate, gentle, and loving. He was found roaming around a busy street, confused and scared. A Good Samaritan recognized that he was in distress and brought him to our partner shelter SOS El Arca Animal Rescue. Soon we discovered that the reason he acted so scared is that he is completely deaf. We don’t know why he ended up on the street as he wasn’t claimed, but we know he is ready for a loving home. A busy shelter is too stressful for this little munchkin. He would do best in a home with a fenced-in backyard. He needs a safe and steady environment with a consistent schedule to make him feel secure. Ares is very friendly, gets along well with other dogs, and is neutral towards cats. He is crate trained and his potty training has begun and would need to be continued by the adopter. He is currently being fostered in CT and his foster parents started teaching Ares commends using a PetSafe vibrating collar. He is doing great at his foster home playing with his mates : two dogs and two cats. Ares is up-to-date on all his vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. His current weight is 16 lbs. Hurricane Helene devestated much of the southeast a few months ago, and many humans and animals are still working hard to recover. Steve is one of them. Meet Steve, the precious boy who lost his home and his family all in one devestating day when Steve’s humans left their home, and left him behind with it. Steve is an adorable Wirehaired Terrier/Schnauzer mix who doesn’t understand why he was left behind when he needed his family the most. He ended up in a kill shelter in Swainsboro, Georgia, but we were able to rescue him and offer him a second chance at a well-deserved happy ever after. Steve is one year old and weighs 9 pounds. His fawny white, wirey fur and large ears are so handsome and loveable. Steve is understandably shy and hesitant after what he’s endured. He would do best in a home where he can feel secure and safe. A quiet home with adults and older kids who can give him plenty of patience and TLC would be best. He would also do well in a home with other dogs. Steve truly wants to open up and show you how loving and friendly he is. With time and the right home, Steve will flourish. He’s hoping for a second chance with a new family who will never give up on him. He deserves all the love in the world, and we can’t wait for him to find a home who will cherish him always.
