Story
Welcome Belle! (View her individual photos to see how cute she really is! Even so, the photos don’t do her justice!) 12 week old, 15 pound Belle is so excited to get affection she doesn’t know who to go to first. An equal opportunity kisser and snuggler, she is absolutely precious. Belle is well on their way to being housetrained, waits patiently for meals and plays gently with little ones. She has a beautiful demeanor and will adjust easily to the energy to a resident dog. She’s not much of a barker and sleeps peacefully in her crate, ready to start every new day with her puppy exuberance. Belle is up-to-date with vaccinations, spayed and microchipped. Fostered in Barnegat, NJ. Come meet this pumpkin! Applications at www.pounddogfounddog.org. Applications and inquiries always receive a response so please be sure to check your spam files.

Story
** Current Location: in a foster home in South Korea ** • Personality: She's sociable and energetic. She adapts to new places right away and loves to reach out to new people and friends she meets. She knows how to say hello to familiar people and friends. She loves to play with other dogs and loves to play with people. She picks up on new training quickly, so we think she would make a great dog for a family with a good understanding and training knowledge of dogs. She's a bit of a sneaky prankster right now, so she can get into trouble, but she's affectionate, gentle, and full of energy. • Affinity with -Cats:She is currently living with cats in a temporary foster home. She is not aggressive with cats, but she is very interested in them, so if you have a cat that likes dogs, she would be fine. -Dogs: She is currently living with the dogs in her foster home without any issues. They play well with each other, are socialized, and warm up quickly to new dogs they meet. -Adults/Kids: She is very fond of people and loves to be petted. She warms up quickly to people she meets for the first time. • Shedding: Moderate. There is shedding in certain periods. Her fur is best brushed daily with a silicone brush. • Walking Manner: She loves to go for walks, both familiar and new, and prefers to take fast, wide, territorial walks (rather than slow, sniffing the trails). He also loves to run in the park, but will sometimes try to run outside if there is no fence. she is fast and has a lot of energy, so she loves to run around in large parks and meet people and dogs. she also loves to go for walks in the mountains, but she has a hunting instinct and is interested in small snakes, rodents, and birds. • Housetrained: She goes potty on pee pads and highly prefers to go outside. She can chew on wood and plastic furniture and will grab small items that fall on the floor and play with them. She's very playful and will run around with you if you have a like-minded friend in the house. • Separation Anxiety: She's always been around other dogs, so we can't confirm, but we think she'll be fine on her own. • Bark or Howl: She barks briefly when she hears strangers outside. There is no howl • Carsickness: She had drooling at first, but now she rides well.

Story
Hurricane Helene devestated much of the southeast a few months ago, and many humans and animals are still working hard to recover. Steve is one of them. Meet Steve, the precious boy who lost his home and his family all in one devestating day when Steve’s humans left their home, and left him behind with it. Steve is an adorable Wirehaired Terrier/Schnauzer mix who doesn’t understand why he was left behind when he needed his family the most. He ended up in a kill shelter in Swainsboro, Georgia, but we were able to rescue him and offer him a second chance at a well-deserved happy ever after. Steve is one year old and weighs 9 pounds. His fawny white, wirey fur and large ears are so handsome and loveable. Steve is understandably shy and hesitant after what he’s endured. He would do best in a home where he can feel secure and safe. A quiet home with adults and older kids who can give him plenty of patience and TLC would be best. He would also do well in a home with other dogs. Steve truly wants to open up and show you how loving and friendly he is. With time and the right home, Steve will flourish. He’s hoping for a second chance with a new family who will never give up on him. He deserves all the love in the world, and we can’t wait for him to find a home who will cherish him always. Steve is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped.  **Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application. All adoption applications must be completed on www.hfgdr.org**   HFG Dog Rescue is a 100 percent foster-based rescue located in Berkeley Heights, NJ with a sister location, The Almost Home Wellness Center, in Aiken, SC. All of our dogs are rescued from kill shelters in SC + GA and once ready for adoption live in loving local NJ foster homes until they find forever families of their own. Our fosters begin basic training, housebreaking, and leash-walking skills to help pair you with the perfect pup for life!   In order to apply for adoption and set up an individual meet and greet with one of our dogs, please visit us at www.hfgdr.org.   Find us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/HomeForGoodDogRescue.

Story
Ares, a 1.5-year-old male, has the stunning look of a mix of a Schnauzer and a Poodle. This handsome boy is an eye-catcher and his personality warms up your heart. He is affectionate, gentle, and loving. He was found roaming around a busy street, confused and scared. A Good Samaritan recognized that he was in distress and brought him to our partner shelter SOS El Arca Animal Rescue. Soon we discovered that the reason he acted so scared is that he is completely deaf. We don’t know why he ended up on the street as he wasn’t claimed, but we know he is ready for a loving home. A busy shelter is too stressful for this little munchkin. He would do best in a home with a fenced-in backyard. He needs a safe and steady environment with a consistent schedule to make him feel secure. Ares is very friendly, gets along well with other dogs,  and is neutral towards cats. He is crate trained and his potty training has begun and would need to be continued by the adopter. He is currently being fostered in CT and his foster parents started teaching Ares commends using a PetSafe vibrating collar. He is doing great at his foster home playing with his mates : two dogs and two cats. Ares is up-to-date on all his vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. His current weight is 16 lbs. Are you the one for Ares? Please fill out an adoption application at www.sosanimalwelfare.org, or email us for more info: sosanimalwelfare@gmail.com We will happily get back to you!
