Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ERNIE was saved from a high kill shelter in Texas and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on Sunday, 1st September 2024. We post in east coast states and Canada as we have many families adopt and are happy to make the worthwhile trip up to the rescue. We do not always have time to post all the pictures on each dogs individual page, but we do post a lot of photo's on the rescue Facebook page. Ernie is neutered , rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped with 24PetWatch. He has an estimated date of birth of August 2019 and at the end of August weighed around 20 pounds. We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks. H e does need an active family who will ensure she gets all the exercise, both mentally and physically that she needs to live a happy fulfilling life. Ernie has an adoption fee of $550 Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue in SEBEC, Maine to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application. Story
Meet Tio! A 2-year-old schnauzer mix pup who came all the way from Texas to look for his furever home. He is the most loving, cuddly pup you’ll ever meet. He loves scratches and being as close to you as possible.  Tio is easy-going and intelligent. He’s house-trained and crate-trained. He sleeps in his crate at night without any issues, although he would love to sleep next to you if he can. He also knows sit and other basic commands. He’s currently working on his leash-walking skills. He can hang alone at home if you need to run out for errands.  Tio is a medium-energy, introverted dog who can be very active after his walks and during the day. He plays fetch really well and likes his squeaky toys. However, he’s not a fan of the busy NYC streets and loud noises, so he would prefer to play with you indoors. Tio is OK with other dogs but prefers to play with his human.  Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, lepto, and bordetella. Neutered, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. To apply for Tio, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the dog into our rescue. Adoptions: adopt@waggytailrescue.org ##2190467##

Story
** Current Location: in a foster home in South Korea ** • Personality: She's sociable and energetic. She adapts to new places right away and loves to reach out to new people and friends she meets. She knows how to say hello to familiar people and friends. She loves to play with other dogs and loves to play with people. She picks up on new training quickly, so we think she would make a great dog for a family with a good understanding and training knowledge of dogs. She's a bit of a sneaky prankster right now, so she can get into trouble, but she's affectionate, gentle, and full of energy. • Affinity with -Cats:She is currently living with cats in a temporary foster home. She is not aggressive with cats, but she is very interested in them, so if you have a cat that likes dogs, she would be fine. -Dogs: She is currently living with the dogs in her foster home without any issues. They play well with each other, are socialized, and warm up quickly to new dogs they meet. -Adults/Kids: She is very fond of people and loves to be petted. She warms up quickly to people she meets for the first time. • Shedding: Moderate. There is shedding in certain periods. Her fur is best brushed daily with a silicone brush. • Walking Manner: She loves to go for walks, both familiar and new, and prefers to take fast, wide, territorial walks (rather than slow, sniffing the trails). He also loves to run in the park, but will sometimes try to run outside if there is no fence. she is fast and has a lot of energy, so she loves to run around in large parks and meet people and dogs. she also loves to go for walks in the mountains, but she has a hunting instinct and is interested in small snakes, rodents, and birds. • Housetrained: She goes potty on pee pads and highly prefers to go outside. She can chew on wood and plastic furniture and will grab small items that fall on the floor and play with them. She's very playful and will run around with you if you have a like-minded friend in the house. • Separation Anxiety: She's always been around other dogs, so we can't confirm, but we think she'll be fine on her own. • Bark or Howl: She barks briefly when she hears strangers outside. There is no howl • Carsickness: She had drooling at first, but now she rides well.

Story
** Current location: in a foster home in South Korea ** Meet ChuChu👋 a friendly lovable Schnauzer girl! Chuchu’s story with the rescue team began last May when she was transferred from a high-kill shelter. She arrived with a male dog, presumably her sibling, who has since been adopted, leaving Chuchu behind. Despite this separation, Chuchu has shown resilience and a positive attitude. In July, she was sent to a foster home, where she has continued to thrive and has been learning socialization. • Personality: Easy-going, Lively, Sweet Chuchu is a loving friendly Miniature Schnauzer! This social butterfly is unafraid of meeting new people and is quick to show affection. Her comfort in cars and elevators suggests she likely had a family before ending up at the shelter, indicating she is accustomed to various environments and experiences. Chuchu already knows several commands, including sit, wait, and shake. She is also comfortable with having her teeth and ears touched, which is a testament to her foster mom. • Affinity with - Dogs: Her preference for dogs are selective depending on the size and personality. She tends to be reactive to small dogs like her during walks. She would prefer to be the only dog in the house. - Cats: Not tested - Adults/Kids: Very comfortable around new people including men / Not interested in children. • Walking Manners: She walks well on a leash! She gets excited and pulls a little bit at the beginning of a walk. However, she stops when her walker stops! She likes to sniff around. • Housetrained: Completely housebroken, both outdoors and indoors • Bathing/Brushing: Tolerates bathing well / Not a big fan of brushing though! • Car Sickness: Very comfortable with car rides. • Separation Anxiety: none • Barks/Howls: Hardly… except when she sees animals on TV or when she hears a suspicious loud noise. • Appetite/Food Allergies: A little bit picky about kibbles / No food allergies • Shedding level (1~10): 2 • Likes/Dislikes: Her favorite thing is treats! She enjoys getting pets as well!
