Story
Welcome Dooby to CCPAL Rescue. Dooby is a Schnauzer/Scruffy Terrier mix boy. He is about 1.5 years old. He weighs about 12 pounds. He likes being held and is a little shy. This boy had a very terrible person for his owner. She was a sexual deviant and he and the other dogs in this house were abused by this person. A good Samaritan stepped in and took all the dogs. Dooby was with foster care until she called CCPAL and we took them into the Rescue. He is a little shy and when he is scared, wants to retreat. He has a nice non-shedding coat and he is good with other dogs. He and the others in this group really are doing well and are responding to loving and very normal attention at the Rescue. They are fitting in well with routines and the schedules at the Rescue. The dogs will get daily cuddles and assurance that people are nice and most are very normal. Dooby would be great in a quieter home. I would say a retired couple or a single person wanting a rather quiet and non shedding companion animal. He will be getting his neuter soon and he has already gotten his toenails clipped and vaccinations. None of these dogs are fully potty trained but we will be working on really good schedules and crate training at the Rescue. He is currently in Texas at the CCPAL Rescue. His adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. He could be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. . Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Name: Muttley Chew Breeds: Poodle/ Schnauzer Mix Age: Young Adult Sex: Male Size: Small (15 lbs) Muttley Chew is a poodle/doodle type mix, about 10 months old. He is all puppy, all fun, and all happy about life. He may not be a famous rock band like his name suggests but he is famous at the dog park for making friends, famous around the neighborhood for his full body wiggles meeting everyone. He is housetrained with an adjustment period, crates well for the workday though can be vocal in there if he can hear you because he wants to be out with you, and has good house manners minus the occasional kids’ toy being moved but he says you can’t prove it was him, haven’t you ever seen Toy Story? Muttley loves his walks and playtime but does settle nicely in the house as well. He came into the shelter incredibly matted so needed to be shaved down. His forever home needs to be committed to providing for his grooming needs including shaving/haircuts every 6-8 weeks and weekly brushing to prevent mats. Requirements: No special requirements Adoption Fee: $650 + tax. This includes neuter/spay, current vaccinations as age appropriate, heartworm/tick testing in dogs over 6 months of age, deworming, microchip and current preventatives Interested in adopting? Story
Lucy is a 2-year-old bundle of energy, she is also cuddling, loving, and your shadow. She requires training as she hasn't yet learned to control her excitement. She exhibits typical playful, high-energy puppy behavior that one would expect with a young dog. If you are looking for a little girl and are willing to enroll her in training classes, please let us know. If you want to liven up your house, Lucy is for you! Lucy needs to be the only dog in the household. Older dogs may try to assert dominance over her, and she was previously bitten by a larger dog. Interactions with other dogs would depend on each individual's temperament. She can be with cats that can assertively establish boundaries, but each cat and dog interaction will be unique and require careful assessment. Minimum requirements: Live in Minneapolis or close suburbs Only pet (unless proven else-wise) Fenced in Yard Training classes Puppy proofed home No Toddlers humans We know in the right home she can learn, grow, and become a great companion, she just needs to find a forever home that has time, patients, and the right tools to know how to teach her.

Story
To apply for this magnificent pup, please go to our website at emotionalrescuedogs.org,  locate the dog's profile under Available Dogs and click the ADOPT button!  Let's make the magic happen! Bonnie is a Puppy Mill Mama who came to Rescue in February, 2024. No doubt, she produced dozens of beautiful puppies in her 7 years of life but at a cost. Bonnie had never walked on grass or been outside, had never been introduced to affection so the world outside a kennel was a very scary place for her. Bonnie now enjoys the company of her foster humans and will more frequently go potty outside when she has the opportunity. She's ready to find a home that can continue teaching her about love and that SHE has value, just for who she is, not how much money her puppies cost. Bonnie is a Mini Schnauzer and is dog friendly. She requires a fenced yard so she can safely explore the world. She is Spayed, up to date on vaccinations and is microchipped. She will require regular grooming and, though she'll be scared, she doesnt bite. Please apply for her at emotionalrescuedogs.org ##2245019##

These pups are in St Louis Park, Minnesota too!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Do you want to meet me? I will be at SLP Pet Evolution, 5217 Excelsior Blvd, St Louis Park, MN 55416 (Miracle Miles Shopping Center) for an Adoption Event on Saturday, February 1st from 1:00-3:00 pm. Please email inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com for questions regarding the dogs. Hi there! My name is Molly, and I'm an 8 1/2 pound Miniature Schnauzer with a heart full of love. I’m a total cuddle bug who loves nothing more than curling up on a pillow in your lap. Seriously, it’s my happy place! I’m not a fan of hardwood floors (they’re so slippery!), but I do great on carpets or rugs. My foster family has scattered rugs around the house so I can move around comfortably. Outside is another favorite spot of mine—I love the fresh air! Just a heads-up: I’m not a leash fan and can freeze up if you try to take me on walks. That’s why I’ll need a fenced yard where I can safely roam and explore. I’m working on potty training and will do my business outside when you tell me to "go potty." My people also have potty pads inside while I am learning. I’m also a little bit of a diva—I like my kennel door open so I can come and go as I please, but I usually choose your lap over anything else.   While I’m not super playful, I do enjoy squeaky toys now and then. I don’t need another dog in the house, as long as my humans are home most of the time to keep me company. I bark occasionally, but mostly when I see someone walking by my yard.   I’m a sweet, loving, and adaptable girl who’s looking for a forever home where I can be someone’s lap buddy and enjoy all the snuggles. Could that be with you?   *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a  particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit.  Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.     ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi I’m Mateo!  I’m a handsome scruffy little lady who is looking for a family of my very own.  I came here from a shelter in Arkansas where I found myself when my owner passed away.  I wasn’t there too long before I came to MN where I found myself in a foster home.  It took me a bit to open up to my new foster.  I was sad and confused since I had lost my home and owner.  I was lucky though that I got to come here with my brother, Dirk.  I don’t need to be adopted with him, but if you have room in your heart I’d certainly love to be adopted with him.  Bonus: I am crate, leash, AND potty trained! I don't need a fenced in yard, but sure would love it if you had it! When we meet I’m shy with new people and need a bit to warm up.  Once I trust you though then I’m a happy lady who likes to dance and give you my bestest smile!  My former owner taught me that when it’s time to be picked up you turn around and look over your shoulder so you can easily be picked up.  I can be playful with my brother, but I tend not to play with the other fosters here.  It’s not that I don’t like them, I just kinda do my own thing.  I don’t really care about toys, but I do enjoy food and treats.  I’d love a calm home with no kids where I can lounge around in peace and watch the world out the window and just lay by your feet.  I’m small and don’t take up much room other than a big space in your heart. Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. Story
Welcome Tommy to CCPAL Rescue. Tommy is a 1-year-old Cairn Terrier mix with maybe Schnauzer. He is very low energy and a little shy. His teeth are really white and clean as his adult teeth are just now coming in. He is the ultimate lap dog and weighs about 10 pounds. He is very content being held and is shy but bonds deeply. He came from a homeless person that had about 6 dogs. The homeless person had rescued all as strays. A good Samaritan stepped up to help and called CCPAL Rescue. CCPAL took in all the homeless person’s dogs except one she wanted to keep. We will be vaccinating them and spaying them to get them ready for their forever home. This boy is not a shedding dog and is very very affectionate. He would be fine around kids but I think her best home would be with a home that someone wants a lap dog and a quieter home. He would be a great one person dog. He will be great company and will not require too much exercise. A small condo type yard would work for him. He is good in a crate and with other dogs. He is more vocal than his sister Merry. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transportation fee is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
