Story
Meet Eddie!
Eddie is a 4-year-old, 14-pound Miniature Schnauzer and Miniature Poodle mix with a charming personality and lots of love to share. This handsome little guy was found as a stray in Detroit and, sadly, was never reclaimed. Despite that, Eddie has remained a sweet and happy boy who enjoys the company of people and thrives on attention.
Eddie enjoys going for walks on a leash, but he also loves the freedom to explore and play in a securely fenced yard. Because of this, he would not be a good fit for a tether system.
Eddie has done well with other dogs and doesn’t seem bothered by cats. He would likely do best in a home with older, dog-savvy children who understand how to interact respectfully with a small dog.
This smart little guy has shown a good understanding of house manners and is crate trained, especially when kept on a consistent routine. As a Schnauzer/Poodle mix, Eddie will require regular grooming to keep his coat healthy and looking its best.
Although he’s past the puppy stage, Eddie still has a fun, playful side and would love an active family that will include him in daily walks, playtime, and plenty of cuddles.
Most of all, Eddie is looking for a forever family who will love him furever and give him the stability and affection he deserves.
If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a wonderful personality, Eddie may be the perfect addition to your family.

Many of the animals in our foster program come to us with limited or unknown histories. We make every effort to evaluate each animal’s temperament and behavior, including testing their interactions with other dogs, cats, and children (defined as individuals under the age of 18, when available). However, every animal is unique—just as every child and household environment is different.
While we strive to set both our foster animals and adoptive families up for success through thorough assessments and transparent communication, **we cannot guarantee any specific behavioral outcome**. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program.
