Story
3-year old Mini Schnauzer RayRay is 19 lbs of cute and fuzzy! He may be timid for a few seconds upon meeting new people but once he wars up he will be your best friend. RayRay may be three but he seems to have limited life experience, so you can have fun introducing him to the wide world around him! RayRay  loves strongly and adjusts quickly. He is getting groomed and will soon sport a spiffy haircut, so he will be ready when his adopter scoops him up and gives RayRay a new "leash" on life! ##2256968##

I was rescued by K-9 Lifesavers from an overcrowded shelter in Mountain City, Tennessee. The shelter is a scary place for a puppy like me, but things are looking up now and I am ready to find my forever people. Could that be you? I am a sweet young pup. People are my favorite, I'm very affectionate. I would lbe at my best as an only dog!  At my young age, I am in my prime for training and socialization. I promise to be the best friend you've ever had. Adopting me would mean endless love, companionship, and a loyal friend. I can't wait to meet you! Submit an application today. Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/  . Story
Sadie is an 8 yo 16 lb. chocolate/liver female mini schnauzer looking for her forever home in PA, DE, MD, VA, or DC. (more pics in comments). She is a friendly, barky, playful, active dog who loves attention and is a lapdog. She is house-trained and crate trained. She likes playing with toys and fetching them. She was spayed in rescue as well as having bladder stones removed. She will need to be on urinary prescription food the rest of her life to prevent the stones from reoccurring. She is microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines. Sadie would do best in a townhome or single family home with a fenced yard. Children should be age 10 or older. She does not get along with dogs living in the home, so should be an only dog. Sadie's adopter will be required to take her through obedience training. If you would like to be considered to adopt Sadie, you must first apply. Please contact schnauzerrescue@outlook.com for our rescue's adoption application. Please be sure to keep a watch on your Spam and Junk folders if you don't see a response in your email inbox. If you've already applied, please contact schnauzerrescue@outlook.com to be added to the list of those being considered. Rescue Schnauzers usually weigh between 15-25 pounds, they are up to date on shots, heartworm/Lyme tested and spayed/neutered prior to placement. We make reasonable efforts to evaluate the health and temperament of each dog, however we cannot make any guarantees. We are not a shelter and do not have a central facility to visit our rescue schnauzers. All dogs are kept in foster homes located throughout the area we cover. PLEASE NOTE: We rescue schnauzers in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania. We can only accept applications from these areas. For a rescue contact in other areas, please go to our website http://www.schnauzerrescue.net and click on Rescue Links. We have a need for volunteers in Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Our website features lots of great information about the rescue process, book reviews and training tips. You can donate to Sadie's care at http://schnauzerrescue.net/Donate.htm via PayPal or check. All donations go to the veterinary fund and are tax deductible as a charitable contribution. Thanks for your support!

Story
Mathilda (Tillie)-Schauzer female, ~ 6 yr. (Nov. 2024) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for application Tillie is a girl in transition. Her human mom for all her life has unexpectedly passed away. The family could not take her in and the Rescue is so happy to help her find a new family and start on life. Tillie is in foster care now and trying hard to settle in. She's good with other dogs, cats and seems fine with children, although we know she has lived in the home of an elderly person, so is used to a quiet life and would probably be happiest in that kind of home. Tillie weighs 16# and seems to have a quiet laid back personality. Tillie’s prior home has notified us that she takes couple maintenance meds for urinary good health. She is having no problems at this time. She also eats a special urinary tract health dog food, both wet and dry. Tillie's adoption fee is $500 to help cover the costs of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Include your location and a phone number for future communication.
