Lucille came into the rescue from a breeder in Alabama with her bestie, Gracie Mae. Although we believe the two will do fine separately, they are great together, and we'd love to place them in the same home, if possible. Lucy is as sweet and cuddly as they come. And she's also house-trained! This little fur baby is waiting to find a forever home where she will be treated like family. She is hoping her new people will be as loyal to her as she will be to them and give her all the love she deserves. So why not fill out an application today. Lucille can’t wait to meet you!Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.       Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Story
Sadie is an 8 yo 16 lb. chocolate/liver female mini schnauzer looking for her forever home in PA, DE, MD, VA, or DC. (more pics in comments). She is a friendly, barky, playful, active dog who loves attention and is a lapdog. She is house-trained and crate trained. She likes playing with toys and fetching them. She was spayed in rescue as well as having bladder stones removed. She will need to be on urinary prescription food the rest of her life to prevent the stones from reoccurring. She is microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines. Sadie would do best in a townhome or single family home with a fenced yard. Children should be age 10 or older. She does not get along with dogs living in the home, so should be an only dog. Sadie's adopter will be required to take her through obedience training. If you would like to be considered to adopt Sadie, you must first apply. Please contact schnauzerrescue@outlook.com for our rescue's adoption application. Please be sure to keep a watch on your Spam and Junk folders if you don't see a response in your email inbox. If you've already applied, please contact schnauzerrescue@outlook.com to be added to the list of those being considered. Rescue Schnauzers usually weigh between 15-25 pounds, they are up to date on shots, heartworm/Lyme tested and spayed/neutered prior to placement. We make reasonable efforts to evaluate the health and temperament of each dog, however we cannot make any guarantees. We are not a shelter and do not have a central facility to visit our rescue schnauzers. All dogs are kept in foster homes located throughout the area we cover. PLEASE NOTE: We rescue schnauzers in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania. We can only accept applications from these areas. For a rescue contact in other areas, please go to our website http://www.schnauzerrescue.net and click on Rescue Links. We have a need for volunteers in Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Our website features lots of great information about the rescue process, book reviews and training tips. You can donate to Sadie's care at http://schnauzerrescue.net/Donate.htm via PayPal or check. All donations go to the veterinary fund and are tax deductible as a charitable contribution. Thanks for your support!

Story
Sky is ready to come down from the clouds and hopefully land on some soft, warm beds! We have no idea how a darling little senior miss ends up lost but we are determined to find a great home where she can get back to her retirement. Sky is a good girl who asks so little. She may need help getting up big stairs, but she is easy to carry (and LOVE!) If you have a soft spot for the oldies but goodies, cutie pie Sky would love to me you!

Story
** Current location: in a foster home in South Korea ** Meet ChuChu👋 a friendly lovable Schnauzer girl! Chuchu’s story with the rescue team began last May when she was transferred from a high-kill shelter. She arrived with a male dog, presumably her sibling, who has since been adopted, leaving Chuchu behind. Despite this separation, Chuchu has shown resilience and a positive attitude. In July, she was sent to a foster home, where she has continued to thrive and has been learning socialization. • Personality: Easy-going, Lively, Sweet Chuchu is a loving friendly Miniature Schnauzer! This social butterfly is unafraid of meeting new people and is quick to show affection. Her comfort in cars and elevators suggests she likely had a family before ending up at the shelter, indicating she is accustomed to various environments and experiences. Chuchu already knows several commands, including sit, wait, and shake. She is also comfortable with having her teeth and ears touched, which is a testament to her foster mom. • Affinity with - Dogs: Her preference for dogs are selective depending on the size and personality. She tends to be reactive to small dogs like her. She would prefer to be the only dog in the house. - Cats: Not tested - Adults/Kids: Very comfortable around new people including men / Not interested in children. • Walking Manners: She walks well on a leash! She gets excited and pulls a little bit at the beginning of a walk. However, she stops when her walker stops! She likes to sniff around. • Housetrained: Completely housebroken, both outdoors and indoors • Separation Anxiety: none • Barks/Howls: Hardly… except when she sees animals on TV or when she hears a suspicious loud noise. • Bathing/Brushing: Tolerates bathing well / Not a big fan of brushing though! • Car Sickness: Very comfortable with car rides. • Appetite/Food Allergies: A little bit picky about kibbles / No food allergies • Shedding level (1~10): 2 • Likes/Dislikes: Her favorite thing is treats! She enjoys getting pets as well!
