Story
Cricket-man! At the ripe age of JUST over a couple years old, he is EVERYTHING schnauzery! Spunky, smart, sweet, silly, you name it! I personally can't get over his puppy-dog eyes! Occasionally bearing a hysterical toothy grin as he approaches, he's cautious, but FULL of love to give at a moments notice! Cricket loves EVERYTHING, from cats, kids, and other dogs, and he is always ready to get down and playful! But, he never hesitates to take a sweet nap as he needs, often finding himself in someone's lap, on the doggy bed, or right at the feet of anyone he loves. He was such a well-behaved gentleman as I combed his wirey, yet somehow fluffy hair out; and he held still with a wagging tail. He is a DARLING, to say the least! We think Cricket would do well in just about any home, all the more points if you have doggy friends!

Story
Phoebe is a 5 year old, 17 pound Miniature Schnauzer. She is one of 36 Miniature Schnauzers that were removed from a breeder that was shutting down. Phoebe has spent the last couple of months in her foster home learning how to live in a home and be a dog. Phoebe has changed a lot in the last couple of months and will continue to change as her world opens up and she gains confidence. She needs someone that won’t give up on her and who understands she isn’t going to be a normal dog in two months. Phoebe needs time to feel safe. She startles easily and will drop to her belly or run when she is scared. Phoebe never reacts aggressively. Her ideal home is a quiet home with just one or two people who have time to spend with her. Phoebe is learning that human touch is a good thing and will relax and enjoy pets from someone she trusts. She is starting to approach people but is still very timid. Phoebe is excited to see her foster mom when she comes home. Sometimes with breeder dogs you take one step forward and two steps back. It can be hard to figure out what you did to scare them. It can be as simple as moving a piece of furniture in your home causing them to change their path to get to their safe spot. These dogs require a lot of patience and love. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch their transformation over time. Phoebe is looking for a patient, dog experienced home where someone is around a lot of the time. She requires a physically fenced yard so she can run and play safely. Phoebe also needs another small or medium dog in her home. She is more confident around another dog and will model her behavior after another dog. She loves playing with toys and playing with the other dog in her foster home. Phoebe is housetrained, spayed, current on her vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped. If you would like to meet Phoebe, please go to www.furrfunrescue.org and fill out the adoption application.
